Incredible cover

Aye, when I was a kid, i bought issue 167 at a comic con because the art on the cover was great. Obviously, you couldn't open it up for a look because it was sealed, so you just went by the cover, and I got it home and it was a 'to be continued...'

As for issue's 166,165 'War of the Reptile Men'...I had both of those in a UK Spider-man annual I got for Christmas when I was about 4 yrs old, one of my fav childhood comicbook stories.

when john romita jr was actually GOOD. I've collected all his comics from this era, it's a shame whenever I see JRJR attached to a comic these days I avoid it like the plague. what happened to the guy, his worked is so messy and sketchy now.

JRjr art style hardly changed, if you look at his art in the early days when it's inked by him or Klaus Janson you could feel it close to his 90s-recent work, when his art looked incredible to his haters it was mainly due fantastic inkers

Awesome cover, definitely don't want to be Spidey in his position here

The splash page of this issue is awesome, Spidey lying on top of a van chilling and a kid talking about him
