I don't think I'll watch the bootleg this time around. Hell, I'll probably cave.

Lol who doesn't forgot the "oh *****....." when the string gets pulled out of fitchtner mouth to smoke.

I'm not too worried. The TDK prologue was featured here in '07, but I, however, will still call in advance to be a 100% sure.
To my knowledge, all IMAX theaters played the TDK prologue. So the fact that they played the TDK prologue really doesn't guarantee that they'll play the TDKR one.

I would call, if I were you.

Sweeeet, there's one 2 hours away from me. Just hope they get the movie...

Same with my theater, but now they're NOT showing the TDKR Prologue.

Jeez, that's a nut stomper.

I called the City Place theater about an hour ago and I talked to the assistant manager. She told me that she didn't know but if the theater featured the prologue in 07, then there's a good chance it'll be playing the TDKR prologue as well in December.

Don't get me nervous Boom.

Not the case at all. Like I said, my theater showed the 07 prologue but won't be showing the TDKR prologue. You have to ask them if they have a digital projector or a 70mm. If they say digital- you're screwed. A lot of theaters that were 70mm have all made the switch to digital. So what happened in 07 is totally irrelevant at this point.

I'm positive that the IMAX theater here is around 55mm... should I expect bad news then?

Look at the bright side, Doomsday. At least you have a chance.

I've got nothing. I am at the mercy of bootleggers :csad:.

That's terrible Boom. I'm surprised you don't have a single IMAX theater anywhere near you.

Where are you located?

Peruse the list here:

If your theater does NOT have a 1570 next to it, you're pretty much screwed. Apparently these are the only theaters scheduled to show the TDKR prologue. This time around, the first 6 minutes of the movie will be screened exclusively.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooolan!!!!!!!

Orlando or Miami, here I come.

What if it says CDC 1570? Does that mean no? I'm guessing the ones that say IMAX 1570 are the ones that will have it?

Doomsday, I'll be coming from Tallahassee to Orlando.

Damn, my local Imax is digital.

Oh well, I'll still be just as happy with the trailer, especially since that will have shots of scenes throughout the film.

Nice, which theater are going to?

I might have attend the Regal Pointe theater over there or Museum of Discovery and Science theater in Fort Lauderdale.

Navy Pier IMAX for me.

I'll be going to Regal Pointe 21.

I was there for TDK, waited in line forever on opening day, saw it 4 times there that day with a big group. Nice theater.

Okay, so let me make sure I have all this correct:

We're getting a 6-minute IMAX Prologue attached to M:I-4.
This will only be shown in actual 70mm IMAX theaters.
That happens on Friday, December 16.
The actual theater release date for M:I-4 is Wednesday, December 21. Whether there's anything attached to that is still up in the air.

Sherlock Holmes 2 will be released on Friday, December 16. - the same date
Quite separately, we should be getting a Theatrical Trailer attached to this, because it's a WB tentpole film, and this follows suit with TDK's trailer in December 2007.

So, if I'm correct, we're getting two things exactly one month from now:

1. 6 minute Prologue on December 16.
2. Theatrical Trailer on December 16.

Is this the current line of thinking?

That's pretty much the size of the one near me. I just wish it wasn't digital in this case.

I'm tempted to drive the 40 minutes to San Francisco since that Imax should be showing it.

Cincinnati, OH.

Our Museum Center has an 70mm IMAX, but I don't believe they show Hollywood films.

Ya they have a real big screen. The theater is located in a real rich part of town so it's all big and nice around there. P.F. Chang's is right by it. Hmmm.

I loath this. I don't know whether I should be mad at Nolan and WB for the 'exclusive' prologue or theaters for the digital projectors!

40 minutes doesn't sound too bad. I might have to drive two hours myself.
