Thanks, Goku .

I'll probably just wait the five days and go on the 21st then. The midnight premiere wouldn't get out until two in the morning. Add the two-hour drive back to Cincinnati, and I'd be rolling into my driveway at 4 o'clock. That's a disaster waiting to happen - especially because I probably won't be able to find someone to go with.

I was actually under the impression that ALL IMAX showings of MI:4 hit theaters December 16th, and it's the non imax showings that premiere the 21st. So you could see the 70mm IMAX showing on the 17th or 18th or 19th or 20th if you wanted.

So if you wanted to see the prologue you could see it the next day on IMAX. You don't have to wait till the 21st. That's just when the normal non IMAX showings come out. I'm pretty sure all IMAX showings of MI:4 come out on the 16th and stay in theaters afterwards. I never thought that it was like a sneak-peak thing just for the 16th and then it went away for five days. I don't think that's the case. When the IMAX showings hit theaters on the 16th they are staying in theaters. They don't go away for five days and then come back on the 21st.

I think.

Boom! just go to the midnight showing, think of it as an adventure!

P.s. .. we know where you are now..

I really hope the prologue isn't online until the midnight release

You might be right actually. The website I'm on says:

5 days before everyone else.
Special previews in IMAX begin December 16.

Previews is plural - suggesting more than one showing. And of course, it says "begins December 16."

I'll call them tomorrow to verify. Hopefully that ends up being the case. That would be an ideal situation:

Theatrical trailer on December 16th (with Sherlock Holmes).
Prologue the next day (with Ghost Protocol).

I have my tickets for the midnight imax on the 15th. I didnt realize that that was a preview. I thought it just opened that day.

Anybody think this waiting for the next trailer and prologue absolutely sucks balls? I feel like I've been waiting for this my whole life!
The wait can be too much at times. But at least we have something to wait for, I guess. I wanted an Arkham Asylum follow up game the second I finished the main story, and now that's come and gone.

Anyone know if this will be shown in the UK at all? I would assume so considering the tdk prologue was shown in the UK, and Empire magazine talk about it and they are a british publication, but it would be nice to have some confirmation before making plans to trek all the way to that hellhole London.

It all gets emotional for me when i think about the wait. I stumbled onto these boards the minute chris nolan was announced as director for BB (and joshua jackson and ashton kutcher were frontrunners for the cowl ) and lurked for ages and enjoyed everything from the first teaser to the first trailer to the tdk virals, every bit of tdkr info just takes me back to those times considering the basic marketing for these films are all similar.

In that case we will probably get a legit prologue description soon, and i seem to recal when i read the bank heist scene i got extremely hot under the collar. :hrt:

Anyone else going to Printworks Manchester to see it?

On the Odeon website, it says that it is being shown in the Odeon IMAX in Manchester only. I have just emailed them asking if they will be showing it anywhere else in England.

I think that comment on the Odeon website just refers to their chain. Odeon have lots of screens they call IMAX but only the one in Manchester is true IMAX.

Im sure they'll have it in the bfi imax in london. Cus there is NO way im doing the 6 hour drive to manchester of all places.

I drove past an Odeon IMAX in London a couple of weeks back and they had the TDKR poster up at the front. I'm presuming it may probably be to do with the prologue, though it may have been before it was officially confirmed.

All the prologue descriptions are FAKE. Please don't expect Bane to break Batman's back. You will be severely disappointed. This is its own story.

You keep saying this, but what if he does? If he does break his back it is still its own story. From what bosef was saying it sounds like it's gonna happen.

Yep, Bosef stated it.

He/She has undeniably has more creditability than BeanGrinder.

Who the heck is Bosef?

He/She is a member who works in the Biz and has a moderate following on this site.

Bosef came into these parts about a month ago and gave us a few inside clues to what will happen in the film.

Cool beans. Don't know how I missed that.

Bane breaks Batman's back. That much I can confirm.

I can also say this film provides an END to the Batman mythology. THis is how the story ends, and it's not going to be the BUrtonesque ending people are expecting with Batman poised on a skyscraper ready for the next job.

Hells yeah, it's the first thing she/he confirmed.
