61 Nights of Halloween (2025 Edition)

I'm also saving Heretic for this thread since I haven't seen it yet. I'm not a fan of Hugh Grant at all but I will tolerate him for Sophie Thatcher. :o
I LOVED that one, but I think it might've been particularly delicious to me because of my Jehovah's Witness upbringing. With Heretic and Conclave, last year was first class for films with complicated discussions about organized religion and faith.

Speaking of films that I loved, I got to see Bring Her Back today, and it completely floored me. It's my favorite film of the year so far. I was uncomfortable, upset, and even profoundly moved by the film. There's something really special about the way the Philippou brothers can take these Blumhouse-esque concepts and turn them into high art.

I have a new projection set up 80% ready and quite a few horror movies I've been saving to see for Halloween Season, besides all the classics.

Love Heretic. Strong script and wonderful performances from all involved. Thatcher and East being absolute smoke shows doesn't hurt either. :o

I fear I've been indulging in too many horror movies before spooky season that I won't have much left for this thread. I watched Weapons, Final Destination Bloodlines (plus the other five FD movies) and Together within the last two weeks and I feel like I've been gorging myself on too many cookies before dinner. :o

EDIT: Weapons, not Sinners. These one-worded titles get confusing. :o
This year's had some really solid entries for the annual watchlists.

There's a list of theaters for the run out there?
No. But it's Netflix. Never a lot of theaters, and usually in major cities. Would mean I'd have to travel over an hour. So I'm screwed.

What did the rollout for Glass Onion look like in your area, Darth? That one was playing in a surprising amount of theaters near me even though showtimes were limited.

None. Which really annoyed me, because we get a 99% of events out here. We have enough theaters and chains, even a little arthouse theater. But nothing.

Okay, if Dunkin can start rolling out their Pumpkin Spice menu today then I'm gonna do the same for my spooky season avatar. :o

It's that special time of the year again.

October is peaking early this year for me with Shelby Oaks and the newest VHS coming out the first week.

There are quite a few Halloween-friendly films that I'm going to see theatrically in September. Together, The Conjuring: Last Rites, The Toxic Avenger, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, The Long Walk, and maybe even the Jaws re-release, but the only October releases are Black Phone 2 and Exit 8. A lot of streaming ahead, then.
Not excited for the next chapter in The Strangers trilogy? :o

I just realized that I haven't seen a single Uwe Boll motion picture. He has directed several horror films, and the marathon is kicking off in one week, so... Any recommendations? :o

House of the Dead is where it all started... And it's a video game adaptation.

Is that Kurt Angle, dressed as Sting, with a Hollywood Hogan sprayed on beard?
