3. The Long Walk (2025)

I loved this film. Yeah, the was a group of Stephen King characters to a t, but damn, where the performances good. Not that much gore, not that much in terms of set pieces. Carried by strong performances of the cast. Simple in concept and execution, just a great movie.

Surprising amount of poop in the movie though. And I can't get Luke Skywalker yelling "SACK" out of my head now.

I know you did not use National Hair Day and not for this movie:

The Mummy
Hadn't seen this in a very long time and I still remembered every single acting choice and line delivery, which shows how many times I saw this at the time.
Just plain fun with the right amount of silliness. A horror/action/mystery/comedy/adventure movie done right. It's all there.
And Rachel Weisz is an absolute goddess.

It's October 1st. Interview with the Vampire and all of the Nightmare on Elm Street sequels minus Freddy's Dead and New Nightmare are now on HBO Max.

Gonna be my first time seeing all of them so I'm excited. :halloween:
I'm also going to watch Interview with the Vampire for the first time! I'm currently reading the book, and I don't know if it's blasphemous of me to say, but I'm not loving it so far.

What’s happening so far for you in the book?

Louis has just burned the plantation, so I'm veeeeeery early into it. So far, the interview framing device makes the narrative kind of distant to me, I haven't been able to get into it emotionally. But then again, it's early. It's not bad by any means, though, but it remains to be seen if I warm up to it more.

Oh yeah super early.

I mean, every thing isn’t for everyone, but if you keep trucking, you won’t regret it. But then again I’m just a sucker for Anne Rice’s sensory details.

I'm finishing it, for sure! Then I'll get around to the movie and the show that I keep hearing so much about. Have you read the entire book series?
