61 Nights of Halloween (2025 Edition)

I watched Interview with the Vampire and I gotta say, I don't know how or why I went so long without seeing it because this movie is awesome, Tom Cruise is lowkey hilarious in it and Kirsten Dunst was impressively good in it for being 11 at the time. A Letterboxd review for this said that Cruise should have made as many Lestat movies as he did Mission: Impossible movies and I wholeheartedly agree.

And yes, @Shinobi Shaw rest assured this only made me want to give the series a try.

Bite-Sized Review: Saw this on the big screen for the first time in 25 years and all I can say is we use to be a real country with real movies!

Bite-Sized Review: If you're a pet person, a lot of this will feel like torture. Very effective torture. Indy is a marvel and if you get out of this with a dry eye, you're a stronger person then me.

If your a hardcore fan of found footage films I definitely think this one is worth a look but be warned it's pretty low budget and amateurish compared to most found footage films these days. I really liked the world building though and it has some decent scares and creepy moments especially in the third act.

I haven't watched a Indonesian horror film in a while so I completely forgot how hard they can go at times and this one ain't no different. Alot of crazy, violent kid deaths are in this and if you don't like that kind of stuff this definitely won't be for you but it's done in such a ridiculous and over the top fashion that it never really bothered me.

The CGI never looks very good in these movies but when it comes to the practical gore it definitely delivers.

Another really solid entry in the franchise and while none of the segments are as good as the skydiving segment from Beyond atleast for me this was definitely the most consistent overall in terms of quality.

The Fun Size segment is the most fun of the bunch and probably the most I've ever laughed during one of these and I really liked the Home Haunt segment at the end.

I didn't mind Kidprint but it was a little too mean spirited for my taste and the wrap around segments in these movies continue to be pretty pointless IMO.

I might have to venture out to theaters for this one.

Ngl, I'm a sucker for those kind of titles like the first movie. The Woman in the Yard, The Woman in Black... Something about it gives intrigue. Why this title? Even these games do it to me...

Simple idea opened to a world of possibilities.

Well, Netflix tricked me with what was actually available, so I started the franchise early.

6. I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)

Hard to hate a movie with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Really hard to hate. Kinda forgot that SMG and Ryan Phillipe played a couple a few years before Cruel Intentions. The mystery was good, as well as the twist. Even if the twist may have cleared some terrible people of crimes.

7. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)

So, this movie just feels racist, right? Definitely in that special 90s form of racism. Lacks the mystery element of the first, instead of going with the "your crazy" disbelief. Which is not nearly as fun. And their very much not Bahamas set was really kind of not fun. Some fun "that guy/gal" cameos just to kill off (Weyoun), but the kills felt more padding than to build tension. Also question why they even brought back Freddie Prinze Jr.

Considering adding Kamen Rider Zeztz to Halloween series, because those dream doors are freaky.
