61 Nights of Halloween (2025 Edition)

i watched the fog for the first time last year and the scene in the lighthouse where the piece of driftwood possesses the cassette player to play the ghost's message was creepy af.

john carpenter is a master at creating an atmosphere of dread with these films.

prince of darkness too. those films feel haunted themselves.

Great scene

“Damn them to hell!”

Tonight...

The worst thing Guillermo ever did to me. :weeping:

It really felt good watching this one again. I haven't watched this since I was a kid and at the time I had no idea it had anything to do with the JC film which I absolutely adore but this is such a charming, fun and fairly light hearted 50's B Monster movie that deserves more recognition nowadays IMO.

I enjoyed watching this one again too since I couldn't remember a whole lot about it but man these movies are so nostalgic and it really makes me wonder if kids today even know these films exist or care to. I forgot how damn creepy the atmosphere and the music in these 50's horror movies can be despite the silly, outdated special effects.

This was fun but I still prefer I Am Legend at the end of the day. The vampire/infected stuff in this is so cheesy and goofy at times although Charlton Heston's action hero badassary really does sell it and he's easily the best part of the movie IMO. I honestly like the parts where this felt more like a 70's exploitation the most.

I watched The Omega Man young, and it scarred me a bit. Still haven't seen I Am Legend in full.

I haven’t seen Omega Man, but I hear it is closer to the short story, which is pretty good and nothing like I Am Legend. But I really like I Am Legend.
Makes sense. I've never smoked crack, but I suspect it's similar to watching The Omega Man. Which defines classic sci-fi literature.

24. I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025)

Okay, I enjoyed this more than the rotten tomato score would suggest. Cline and Wonders are great leads, with a chemistry shared by Hewitt and Gellar in the original. Kind of lacks the whodunnit vibe of the original in favor of more kills. And the reveal was kind of cheated to point to others. A pity that the legacy stuff felt tacked on. But, after watching the other 2 movies (only 2 other), the big twist doesn't bother me.
