61 Nights of Halloween (2025 Edition)

31. The Prophecy 3 (2000)

Angels attempt T2. Commits the cardinal sin of wasting Walken. Also, Brad Dourif. Interesting call backs to the first movie, though.

32. The Prophecy: Uprising (2005)

Loses a lot of the Prophecy trappings to explore demons. John Bradley, Sean Pertwee, and Kari Wuher give DTV performances. John Light is a delightful Satan, though.

33. The Prophecy: Forsaken (2005)

The Prophecy trappings are back, with freaking Tony Todd chewing scenery as the evil angel.

34. Time Cut (2024)

Time for a duo of similar movies. Yeah, not as much fun the other one, but I still enjoy some of the more dramatic choices with the time travel question. And really, 90s/00s nostalgia is much scarier than 80s.

35. Totally Killer (2023)

Kiernan Shipka is great fun in this, even if some of the generaliztions on her gen is a bit much. Still great fun.

Episode 1 out of 8.

I'm finally watching Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities. The first episode is an enjoyably slow burn with a cool, suspenseful tone, though its conclusion feels a bit lacking, and too much is left unresolved. Still, I'll always gobble up a good morality tale — and bonus points for featuring a witchy woman called Agatha.

Between yesterday and today I've been throwing on some holiday classics that I will never tire of, all three of which were part of my 2024 61 Nights of Halloween:

Beetlejuice
Or as I call it, the second in Tim Burton's trilogy of movies that became Saturday morning kids' shows between Pee Wee's Big Adventure and Batman. The one thing that stands out to me watching it now is for how insanely good Catherine O'Hara is in this, she outdoes herself in the sequel which is impressive in and of itself. That woman is the GOAT.

Tim Burton's Henry Selick's The Nightmare Before Christmas
One of my favorite animated movies of all time. Catherine O'Hara continues to be the GOAT.

The Thing (1982)
The best horror movie to fail the Bechdel test.

You can have your film critic license back.

Supposed to watch The Crow on the 30th though, Silly Rabbit. :sneeze:

Kids in the 80's being deprived of good Halloween masks that they have to settle for the ones that would use Celtic magic to kill them. Smh

Are You Afraid Of The Dark was scary as hell.

SOOOO underrated. Loved the episode when Tia and Tamera were evil twin chameleons too.

The fact that Disney hasn't done anything with So Weird pisses me off. Loved that show.

They need to let me reboot it.
Molly Phillips probably has some legal hooplah involved and she's become problematic with the whole her victim of molestation and her siblings calling her a liar.
