61 Nights of Halloween (2025 Edition)

Sinners

This is maybe the fourth time I've watched this movie and no matter how many times I see it I always crave a beer during the part when Stack gives Delroy Lindo a nice cold one. This was my first time watching this in glorious 4K UHD though. It's one of those rare horror movies I'd recommend to people who don't like horror. I've already heaped enough praise on this for the last six months so all I'll say is in a great year for horror, this one still stands above the rest.

It bugs me that AMC has a monopoly on the OG Halloween. I'm watching 2018 at the moment.
I've owned the DVD for years and it's one of the ones in my collection where I wonder why I never upgraded to at least a Blu-ray version.

It's also a headache the way the Halloween movies are spread across streaming. 1978, 4, 5 and 2007 are on AMC. 2, 3 and Ends are on Peacock. 6, H20 and Resurrection are on HBO Max. 2018 is on Hulu. RZH2 is on Paramount+. Kills isn't streaming anywhere.

Remember when Peacock hyped up having all the legacy sequels on their service?

How many packs of cigarettes did the dancer kid in the car smoke? :funny:

The three new ones are never on streaming at the same time and never the same service. It's insanity.

I wish people were as into Halloween like this IRL. It's like as soon as those bastards started putting razor blades in candy hit the news, everyone only goes to community events. Then the pandemic hit and made it worse. Also I'm in rural Texas so you got the Good Christians who refuse to put up Halloween decorations and complain when they get put up in public places. :whatever:

From my experience at least, Halloween is still popular but it's nothing like it was when I was a kid as far as trick-or-treating goes. I basically never get them anymore because the only kids who come around are like under 3 years old and their parents take them out really early before I even get home from work so I just leave a bowl of candy out (usually just one bag each of Reese's Cups and Kit Kats which I generally end up eating on my own in the following weeks :o). I guess trunk-or-treating is where it's at. Either that or kids just don't care much about candy anymore. It's just for us adults to stress eat. :o

Is it my fault you were expecting more from Blumhouse? :o

Of course I actually liked the babysitter and the kid.
The kid was the best character in that trilogy, and David Gordon Green knew it because he brought him back for cameos in Kills and Ends. :o

I also think out of all the characters who got killed in H18, the babysitter is the one who I would choose to survive if I had the power to undo any death in that movie.

He was also the only black in the village. :o
