Why? SpoilerTV post the casting sides for lots of TV's. They obviously have a contact in hollywood. None of their casting sides has been wrong before.

Its both great and depressing to see such great characters like zatanna on Smallville. She deserves her own project but her appearance here just shows that nothing is planned. I hope that one day she's in a batman movie even if she is just a regular magician with the suggestion she hides her actual magic. Rachel Dawes really is in a Zatanna role based on Zatanna's history with bruce wayne.

Zatanna is one of the characters they wanted, I'm glad DC gave them the ok, now if only they would let them use WW....

Yea cool title, and casting slides. I do hope this "cassie" is a cover for them to actually have zantana. Hopefully they learned from their mistake leaking maxima's in an episode before it was ready. And with zantana i dont see why dc would not let them use her. The character is not moving in any cartoons/tv/films.

- The episode's guest is a character named "Cassie" whose father taught her about sorcery before he passed away. We're wondering if "Cassie" might be a substitute name for the DC Comics magician character Zatanna, much like "Melissa" was substituted for "Maxima" in initial leaks. Many Silver Age DC Comic books told the tale of Zatanna looking for her father, Zatara. Interesting trivia: Zatara first appeared in the same comic book that introduced Superman - Action Comics #1!
- Cassie tries to get Oliver to believe in witchcraft, and comes to him for help. Apparently Lex had obtained an item before he disappeared that she would like to obtain. She offers to give Oliver his "deepest desire" if he helps her.

well we dont know how that episode will end up ending in the end of that episode so its hard to judge what will happen from the rest of the season. Crossing fingers really this "cassie" will be zantana.

^ It is and it should be. I know most people want this show to be about Clark all the time, and they are right, but I am just as glad that they can introduce some other DC characters. OF course, many Smallville fans might not feel the way I do.

I'd feel better about it if they said we are getting a ninth season. If this is the last season then it needs to focus on Clark, if not then I say have at a few more DCU peeps

They don't have to say it, if you keep up with the spoilers the writing may be on the wall. Don't know how you may look at this, but if this was the last season I want nothing but Clark Kent for the last 10 episodes. I don't know if they are doing that by introducing another DC character this late in the game, not that I am complaining

What mistake?
They use Melissa as cover before making Maxima official.

UPDATED 12/9/08: This episode puts a spin on the "Chlois theory" as a magic spell turns Chloe into Lois... literally.
- Cassidy Freeman (Tess) and Sam Witwer (Davis) do not appear in this episode.



So Chloe fans are getting excited now

Many Chloe fans are deluded, they interpret everything the opposite way, even when the producers say Clark and Lois will get closer or episodes like "Bride"... they say they're lying, misleading, blah blah blah.... what a bunch of nutcases.

It seems "Hex" is one of those late season fillers, but it could be fun.
