Also love Metropolis is a dark and grity city needing of a saviour.
If the daily planet wasn't viewable , I'd have sworn Kal-EL was in Gotham city .

My theory is that Lois went to one year in the future where she disappeared and never came back after the events from Doomsday. Clark became the Blur, befriended Zod and his army and somehow caused destruction. Then suddenly, Lois appears and finds out about Clark. Lois' appearance changes Clark's attitude toward Zod and his plans and Clark defeats Zod and his army causing destruction of their world (they want to rebuild Kandor on Earth). So Alia goes back in time to prevent Clark from ever doing this. This kind of reminds me of that S:TAS episode where Lois dies and Superman and Lex rule the world. Superman becomes less "superman-ly" without Lois around.

The ring attire was appropriate for the situation. What was "off" was the length of time Lois walked around holding up the round sign. The whole scene was poorly edited IMHO, since it wasn't clear what was going on beyond the obvious. Was this a "legit" fight ring or something a la Combat? The scene opened with a view of a very large building, but Ninja Chick blew through a wall that looked like the side of a barn. And where did everybody go after the commercial break? Lois and Oliver were still standing there with water dripping in the background and everybody else was gone. I'm guessing that scene got edited for time, thus it didn't play as well as it should have.Hey I liked Lois's ring attire, I don't hear you ladies complaining about every topless shirt scene involving Clark or Ollie![]()
All part of Clark's powers. Clark has a "shield effect" that makes sure objects don't collapse on their own weight and it shields people he is holding from dying, like when he jumped out of the plane with Tess or in season 5 when he protected Lana from an explosion. How did none of the other train cars not fall, once Clark caught the first one, it is not like it is one big solid object, the rest just would have fell off to the side.
Speaking of which.. instead of the train crashing into the ground it crashed (sorry was caught) into Clark.. how does that not kill anyone still.. going from moving to a sudden stop still kills.. 6 feet is not going to change that fact. (Just like when Clark jumped from a plane caring Tess.. she would have snapped like a twig in his arms when he hits the ground)

I've got a theory, I think Lois remembers all the things she see in her flashforward, but she didn't say anything because it would ruin her relationship with 'The Blur'. I think she
saw herself with another blur... and she has never seen that other blur before.
I only watched the ep once, but will probably view again before next Friday. In the mean time, here's a few random thoughts in no particular order:
Music:
Nice. Awesome, in fact. They kept the Smallville/Superman motifs and added a few from Batman, and I absolutely loved the short though extremely effective use of Wagner's Götterdämmerung. I get "The Ring" connection, but I'm not sure why they chose to place it within the fiction of the show, ie: playing it on the radio. Regardless, good to see they didn't ram the latest pop title off a Warner label down our throats again. I hope this is a new trend; classical orchestration will improve the epic feel of the story, IMHO.
Acting:
What the hell happened to Durance? Her acting was embarrassingly spotty this episode. She was excellent opposite Hartley and in the solo phone booth scene, but quite distracting in scenes with Mack. Seriously, it seemed like she forgot how to act at times. *sigh*
Choreography:
Wow! They've upped their game. Monorail scenes with Ninja Chick and Lois, and the barn scenes with Clark were fantastic. Kudos to the stunt people and trainers.
Editing:
During the fight club scene, Lois walked around with the round card for what seemed like an eternity. Couldn't they have cut that a little better? Same goes for the smash cut from Lois' phone conversation with the Blur to her getting ready for bed, complete with an ear to ear grin. It was unintentionally comical. Yeah Lois, he's that good. LOL
Effects:
- Despite early hype to the contrary, I thought the effects were meh at best.
- The best visual in the whole ep wasn't much of an effect per se, but was very, very epic: Clark at the top of Statue of Liberty.
- When the monorail flew off its tracks, it was prevented from hitting the ground because Clark was there to catch it. But the thing still came to an abrupt stop. Oy! I hate knowing too much about the laws of physics. Shut up, Hulk!
How did a paper for the current day get on the train that crashed.
How did none of the other train cars not fall, once Clark caught the first one, it is not like it is one big solid object, the rest just would have fell off to the side.

Acting was not that great..
The slow fight between Lois and Ninja girl, was so slow paced.. did not look real at all.. looked more like half speed pretend fighting
What was with Lois's heel stomp on Brian Austin's Greens foot.. did you hear that sound affect.. sounded like she busted up all the bones in 10 peoples feet.
Sorry if this ruffles anyone's feathers but that was a pretty bad episode.
Oh Brian Austin Green was pretty cool though.
Now thats Batmanesque
