I think after Spiderman 3, the franchise should take a break from the movies and start a live action TV series. :spidey:

No one said you aren't, but if you start a worthless thread you are entitled to be flamed and mocked relentlessly until this thread is closed. That is just the way it is around here.

ONLY way it would work was if some TV company would pay the SAME actors more money to do a show than they would a movie, because a show takes longer.

Then it would have to be an hour long "LOST" style series, using the same sets/actors/crew that they use for the movie and film it as one 14 hour long movie!

None of that would EVER happen... WHY? Because they can make MORE money making a 3 hour movie than they can making a 14 hour series, and it costs LESS to make the movie (using the same actors and sets and special effects).

So, it would be awe inspiring to see such a show, it would NEVER happen right.

Can you imagine a laugh-track when Parker makes a joke? :down :down

The toons should be extensions of the flics...

a live action tv series would have to be too low budget.

i kind of agree. since SM3 will tie up loose ends and be a good ending to the trilogy, it would be smart to go out while they're on top. they could continue the movie franchise with cartoons and video games and then, years later, could restart the franchise again.

i think that would be better than to have sequel after sequel.

you can't finance a TV show based on a superhero like spider-man....the effects budget to actually make his acrobatics alone look believable would be too much.

so no....crappy idea. Keep the movies coming...there's no reason to stop as long as they are well done.

Live action TV show could work, but not with Spier-Man. It would require wayyy to big a budget.

true, but a movie-based cartoon could easily work.

yes, but that was hardly movie based. it was just "similar".

I reallllly liked the MTV one, why the hell was it canned? I know, cuz it was on f'ing mtv.

With the moola these movies are ranking in along with the fanbase, there's no stoppin Spidey. :)

yeah. that's why we need a definitive movie cartoon. after SM3, they could keep the franchise alive with a cartoon that captures the look and feel of the movies.

there could also be several video games along the line that are based on the movies.

Well, some lame actor with a lame ass suit doing lame ass stunts on TBS could.

what the heck are you talking about?

...it was meant as a strict continuation from the first movie in plot and character...they're in college, peter has organic webshooters and the same costume and the same conflicts between the charaters that were established by the first movie where there.
