sorry i wasn`t 100% concentrating when i wrote the bit about Wong. I meant that he is a good director with a good track record and that the producer stephen chow will bring the humor and love for dragonball through his influence on the film. Unless wong actually is a dragonball fan.

James Wong wrote the script for the One it was supposed to be real good and was sought after by several studios.

In the end the studio that got it cut down the script, cut out all the intelligence and character development to make a short action movie that was a ripoff of Matrix.

James Wong said he didnt like it.

He doesn't do good with martial arts. The characters and humor he writes are terrible. The One was a stupid movie and a stupid concept. Jet Li was lame as hell in it, and that's Jet Li.

X-Men 3 was alright but nothing to write home about compared to the second movie and Bayformers was 100% undiluted crap. How do people like such poor film making? Movies should be made by guys like Chris Nolan who have real vision. Not 2 bit hacks.

This looks like a direct to dvd mess they've made on the cheap with recycled sets from Star Trek and The Adventures of Hercules. Thats not mentioning the prosthetics they borrowed from Buffy season 1.

jet li is good for the type of movies that he does. he not the world's greatest actor

That's the thing though. He is a VERY good actor.

The English speaking movies he happens to be featured in, he coasts or generally sucks.

His performance in Unleashed/Danny The Dog was a great performance. He really did act in that movie.

Yeah the one was pretty good. Quite good fighting and some pretty good acting and direction. I wonder what the director is up to now? Oh wait!!

The One wasn't anywhere near being good. I admit, it was fun to watch Jet Li fight against Jet Li, but that was pretty much it. Having the same director working on Dragon Ball does nothing but worry me.
