I definitely recommend All-Star Batman. Frank Miller should write Batman until the day he dies.

So huge Batman fan here but my life has been really busy the last few years and I have been really poor and even before this time in my life I did miss a few things. I would like to ask for a few things:

1. What books would you put on an absolutley essential reading list for Batman (exluding the books I already have)?

2. What book do I need to read to help further my knowledge on:
What Led Dick to become Nightwing and turn his back on Batman?

In Infinate Crisis why does Batman ask if in the other world Dick is a better person why is Batman saying that Dick is a bad person?

Books I already have

Batman Year One
Long Halloween
Knight Fall
No Mans Land
Hush
Broken City
War Drums

Help would be apreciated I am just looking to catch up and catch any thing that I have missed.

1. Batman - the killing joke. Every X over with spiderman. There is also one comic where batman beats the hell out of the hulk i can post scans if u want.

2. If you have any ?'s on batman just ask me and i'll let you know.

It's not like it was a secret or anything. I think he's lying in the dirt, shot, on the freakin cover. Didn't even tell you who did it, or what happened afterwards.

Seriously, don't listen to Jplaya. He's a joke. Everyone can back me up on this.

Can any one answear this or tell me what book I can find my answear in

In Infinate Crisis why does Batman ask if in the other world Dick is a better person why is Batman saying that Dick is a bad person?

Because Geoff Johns decided to do that.

That's not what that statement meant. It was a test. He asked Superman a question, and he lied to him. It didn't mean that Nightwing was inferior to E2 Grayson, it simply showed that, in E2 Supes' mind, he was. From what E2 Supes has seen, everybody on the regular DC Earth was a *****e. So, when Bat's asked him that, he lied, and Bat's knew he was lying. Doesn't mean that E2 Grayson is a better man, it just means that E2 Supes thought he was a better man, and hid his true feelings in an effort to get Bat's on his side.

I thought that was Batman confronting him with something he hadn't thought of, and implied that E2 Supes thought post-CoIE Dick was as good a man as E2 Dick.

Well, that's just my interpretation of the situation. Bat's asked him that, and he paused, then he looked away when he said "No." So, either he was lying, or he was shocked because he never thought about it that way.

1. All the DC/Marvel crossovers suck.

No, do not ask Jplaya anything about Batman. He beleives that Batman can beat anybody including Superman, the Hulk, Darkseid, Doomsday, Deathstroke, etc. He also beleives in Batman Rage Prime, something that he made up where Batman basically kills all his foes :o

Well Batman has actually beaten Superman

I have seen a few cross overs that I liked actually I enjoyed a Batman and Punisher crossover and a Batman /Spiderman crossover that I liked

You obviously never read the comics where batman has singlehandedly owned superman twice, and has beaten the hulk in another cross over. Dont make me post them scans NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE1!!!! I win.

And you obviously never seen Bathman Gotham Knights either where Batman used his prime rage ability to dodge bullets at close range and decimated his enemies into nothingness

1. Batman did not defeat Superman in combat in Hush. He did what he needed to do in order to survive without injury.

2. The Dark Knight Returns is not in continuity. Also that was not an owning considering all he had to do in order to barely beat Superman. It is an Elseworlds story.

3. Superman had beaten Batman to the brink of death in The OMAC Project.

4. DC/Marvel Crossovers are not in continuity. Batman has never even met the Hulk in DC cannon. And if he ever did, Batman would get killed. There's a reason why the Illuminati shot the Hulk off into space.

5. I win.

1. If you are talking about the cartoon that never happened. As a matter in fact in the cartoon he has gotten shot, stabbed, and wounded plenty of times and has bled. In the comics Batman's body is badly scared from the injuries he has sustained.

2. If you are talking about the book, then I will mention to you on how much that book sucked ass and its major ass suckage is the main reason why it got canceled.

3. Batman has never defeated his enemies into nothingness because Batman opposes killing at all costs.

Picked up Detective Comics #821 and enjoyed it. It was a nice read and needless to say I'll be checking out the next issue.

No dammit. Batman has never beaten Superman in combat in DCU cannon. In DCU cannon it was the other way around.
