A Live Action Batman Beyond movie is it a good idea?

I think that "right" includes when they're not adoring a gritty "realistic" Batman.

Because we all know it's impossible for anyone to enjoy more than one interpretation at a time.

There's a reason this idea only has traction amongst comic book fans who saw the series.

Uh...yeah. Because the general public isn't even aware of it.

I like 60% of what I see here. The artist just needs to work on the upper and mid-section, the facial design, the utility belt and the gaunlets.

As for a live-action film, why the f**k not? It's Batman in the future. The general audience will still pay to see the film because it's Batman. After Nolan's dark and gritty trilogy, the next director (along with the studio) needs to seperate himself from Nolan's world.

Let's face it, a Justice League film ain't gonna happen unless WB finally green-lits a Wonder Woman and/or Flash adaptation. And I don't see that happening any time soon.

I think a Batman Beyond movie could be awesome. Futuristic, cyber punk noir with Batman? How could that not be amazing?

There was a time when this would have been a great idea...when it was in development, and when it was in the public eye. That time is past. BATMAN BEYOND belongs in animated films and the comics, and has been explored there to fantastic effect. I'd see it, but I don't see the point of a live-action film now.

Ok I just resurrected old thread..just wanted to talk about Batman Beyond.
I believe now would be good time to make Batman Beyond live action movie.
I mean seriously, do we really need another reboot of Batman??? Third time???
Although Batman Beyond doesn't have same popularity as original Batman, I still think Batman Beyond would provide us something fresh, since we've seen so many Batman movies so far.

the batwing in the tdkr was almost the batman beyond flying batmobile.
plus they have their prototype already established to streamline and perfect it for batman beyond. not saying they should be connected but if people could believe this flying thing then the BB batmobile is easy to pull off.

clint in his youth never had the batman frame for me. even though BB it's an old bruce wayne i still expect him to have some kind of a build, clint is too skinny. need someone with some shoulders. not saying the guy needs to be some muscled bound old guy, just that he needs to look like he was once an in shape batman.

Haha how about George Clooney as old Bruce Wayne? I know I know, he played the worst Batman ever - but isn't he pretty old now? I mean he's got the acting chops, why not give him a chance to redeem himself? It would be so bad ass if he pulled it off really well. :P

Anyway, I think a Batman Beyond movie is the way to go. If they're too scared to put Robin on the screen, then Batman Beyond is the perfect compromise. He's practically Robin in a Batsuit - not to mention all the cool toys and gadgets we'd get to see. Also, I'd like to see how they'd design the mask - like...if they'd have the mouth literally go in between his lips. I'll bet that would look either really scary or really cool.

George Clooney still looks 30 years too young to play old Bruce Wayne.
Maybe Micahel Keaton can play him, who knows?....Maybe if they can make him look little older by using makeup... Also, the guy is like 60 years old already.

I think the suit is pretty cool on the pic but i would tone down the red a little on the suit make it more charcoal gray with black and with some red. Besides that pretty awsome pic. I do like the cyber enhanse suit look and for me personally im tired of the batman movies with the same thing over and over and would rather want to see Batman Beyond movie live action with the right actors.
I agree with Ted Danson as Blight, Michael Clarke Duncan as Mr Fix, not sure about Bruce or Terry yet but i would rather pay money to see this movie and the right villain besides Blight maybe Inque.
