Ha, I practically invented passive aggressive reviews, only in my day we did them towards Hammer horror films.

15 minutes into Suicide Squad and I already lost hope of enjoying this movie.

...we also watched the whole film. You're a sick *********** Azac.

But I'm sure you'll manage to be insufferable and ***** about it any chance you get.
Am I still whining about I, Frankenstein or Kazuya's Revenge?

Two of the worst movies ever made. Whoever worked on them needs to be ashamed of themselves, starting with Two-Face and Shang Tsung, although Tsung's role in Kazuya's Revenge is minor.
What insufferable piles of inhumane feces that need to be burnt with fire immediately.
Those darn piles of feces are easily worse than that horror movie Red Riding Hood, and it is one of the most unbearable piles of garbage ever introduced to cinema.

TO THE FLAMES OF TARTARUS WITH THESE ABOMINABLE INHUMANE STINKY HEAPS OF STINKY POOPS.
I doubt Suicide Squad will be anywhere near as bad, I'm enjoying the scenes without Joker, enough to not whine about them at least, even if I do mock some of them

Okay finished part 4 of the DC crossover....."Earth's Mightiest Heroes?" come on!

They referenced the Avengers in a crossover last year, so it might have been another intentional reference, or at least I hope it was. I have to admit, I cannot even remember that line in the episode.

Did Aziz just compare Suicide Squad to what he thinks are among the worst movies ever made?

Someone get him a blanket to cover up, his marvel bias and DC hatred is showing with sickeningly dumb colors :o

That reference reminded me of that certain Avengers scene, my brother remembered Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first movie.

If it's any consolation to you, I think Suicide Squad > Ghostbusters, the latter being a middle of the road bland and generic movie, not good nor bad.

Chances of SS score going up went up.

Ghostbusters..... 2016???

I pose this question again to the council...

Sentai and related Japanese entertainment either live action or animated... Are those characters super heroes or not?

Without giving it much thought, I would say yes.

Yes.

Spider-Man is one of them

So yes, they count as superheroes.

Spidey get's grandfathered in. That an American super hero would still be a super hero in Japan is a bit beside the point... Though I myself agree that if most of the boxes get checked off then regardless of country of origin ect. it's likely a franchise is in fact a culturally specific manifestation of the same human impulses that in the U.S. gave rise to the super hero. Costumes, super human powers, secret identities, magic and science fiction existing side by side in-universe, powerful villains, stories about saving the entire world... They all sound like Super Heroes to me.

I mean... If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck... Well it could be a goose.

Still... Close enough.

The DBZ characters could be considered superheroes too IMO.

I would ditto that as well. Some of the more common "tropes" aren't all there with DBZ but it's definitely about super humanly powered people that wear colorful clothing (Seriously... The martial arts tradition in Japan doesn't have much in the way of hand to hand systems that wear any sort of gi except white ones, though I guess the traditional Samurai arts would be an exception. Still... No bright orange is gonna easily be found) that regularly save the planet from nefarious and nearly equally powerful antagonists.

Supergirl says it before leaving for her Earth
