hahaha Right? hahaha I just can't understand how you COULDN'T have seen Star Wars. Makes me wonder what types of films the guy did see.

the only star wars i've seen, is the new one (7), cuz i worked the premiere

you dont need to watch A New Hope then :o

i plan to see Rogue One though. it looks fun

Rogue One looks, to me, like the best of all of them. I find the others incredibly overrated. I think I should lock my doors now.

Joking. You can't betray what you never gave a **** about. Take em', leave em'. No skin off my nose.

im going in pretty much completely blind, knowing only what i know of Force Awakens, which as far as i can tell from reading here and misc pop culture references, won't matter in the slightest

i want to check out Will Smith's new movie too. i saw the trailer for it months ago and i like the idea of it. Helen Mirren as death?

I think that Smith film has potential but... It also seems MEGA manipulative.

I gave up on Will Smith long ago.

Passengers looks pretty cool to me though

im not a big will smith fan by any means, but i like the other people in the movie. Mirren, Norton, Winslet, Knightley, etc

kinda interesting that Jackman was supposed to play the role, but had to back up due to Wolverine 3

how do you mean?

Emotionally speaking. In a way a story being told about a man that lost his daughter is of course going to tug at your heart and soul, and sure, it's a trailer, it's going to try to concentrate this kind of film's impact into under three minutes. Still... I get the feeling it could get too cutesy, a little too precious, for it's own good. Schmaltz is a delicate thing in films. It's easy in my mind to go over board.

i'm not expecting anything big, and like you said, schmaltz may make or break it, but i was reading an article, and this quote by Smith intrigues me:

"Every once in a while you get a screenplay and by page 10 you are in. You just go, 'OK, I'm making this one.' Also, this film has one of the best endings of any film I've ever been a part of. It just sucker punches you out of nowhere. It's that rare combination of being hilarious and also deeply profound."

it also said the movie is a little It's a Wonderful Life meets Wizard of Oz, so i'm wondering how that will be pulled off

"one of the best endings of any film I've ever been a part of."

:hehe: like his movies have special endings

Yeah! Good one, jokesonm3!! WOW!

Now go back to your hole.

isn't that just a filler response to get someone interested or talking about a film? lol

based on that lil blurb i think i'm pretty sure i know how it's all gonna play out. i'll still go see it anyways :o

it's been too long since i've gone to see a film in theatres. i'm tempted to go see Rogue One at midnight
