I agree with Mr....John Chimpo, when it comes to Morrison's Batman. I felt that his style in the long form narrative was one of the few that allowed a level of interaction between reader and story that few other writers of the characters have been able to achieve. Every month when he released either Batman and Robin, Return of Bruce Wayne or just plain old Batman it felt like a new piece of his greater Meta-Narrative was being lain out, a new clue was left for the fans to analyse and disect, usually done in a way that made constant re-reads extremely rewarding. He made the reader feel like they were in Batman's shoes as it were, and encouraged them to look at the various reoccurring motifs in the story and to research them for an extra layer of enjoyment.
In short, Mr John Chimpo is genius and he's views on comics are profound and should be taught at schools.

Dude, I loved the Constantine tv show but DAYUM the danged comic was the hardest thing to read!I was about to say I couldn't possibly do that, but then I remembered that I read Batman: The Long Halloween, which is 13 issues, in a few hours before. If the story is really that good and that interesting, you will not put the book down and can get through it pretty quick.

I LOVE all kinds of lore, and that was just TOO confusing to follow in comic book form. I followed the tv show no problem. I think it took me a few hours to read one of the first trades, and STILL didn't think I understood what it was about lol
