A Marvel Screwup from the 90's

Wow. Don't people like, check their work before they turn it in? And isn't there a job position at Marvel where their specific duty is to check that stuff?

They really just phoned it in on that one. Way to go!!

Even funnier is that the kid took the time to dye his hair from brunette to blond and to change his shirt somewhere between those two panels lol

Makes me glad the only 99 center I picked up was Uncanny Origins at the time. At least the only eff up there was horrible overly-cartoony art.

Marvel at the time was struggling to get "good" artists because of the exodus to all their early 90's talent to Image Comics...

:csad:

Wow, that's hilarious how can that big of a mistake be made? It's not even like they accidentally colored the hair wrong, but the kid's gender and beloved pet/object are completely wrong?! The hell..inski?

Honestly, looking back at Image, even in the early days, they really didn't lose anything of real value. "Oh no, whatever shall we do without Rob Leifeld and Todd McFarlane!?!?!?"

Good or not, those were the guys that sold at the time. And, really, as bad as Liefeld was, his art was still more bearable to me than that of a Liefeld-wannabe like Wyman, whose art stinks up a ton of Thor comics as well.

Hahaha! "Save our daughter, you can't miss her, she's blonde, pink shirt, carries a cat around..."

Deathcry: "I have found your brown-haired son and his teddy bear."

Classic! Good find, RH.

I never heard of...Deathcry was it. Whats her deal, where is she, is she in limbo, dead?

She was in limbo for years, came back as part of Star-Lord's dirty half-dozen in Annihilation Conquest: Star-Lord, and then died.

Damn, I forgot about that. That was one sweet mini. Timothy Green II is awesome. He should get a gig on an ongoing, preferably one of Marvel's cosmic books.

He is definitely a good artist. His style reminds me of Moebius'.
