he means a jordan movie would have a very anticlimactic ending, no matter what part of his life they went with.
=hobgob11]they could end it with his last championship...but yea, good point. its straight success for him, and nothing sticks out more than the rest
Yea I have to agree that a Muhammad Ali movie made a way better movie than a Jordan film would at this stage in MJ's life...But I disagree that basketball especially in Jordans era wasnt dramatic, the winning shot against the Jazz (shouldve been his last), the death of his father in a car accident, his gambling problem...
Yep. Thanks for clarifying Excel
Exactly. There is no climax or notable high point. There is no defeat of Forman. There is no calling a hit in Game 3. Basketball by nature isn't nearly as cinematic or dramatic as certain other sports. Jordan's career, while amazing isn't nearly as cinematic or dramatic as other professional athletes. That is why his movie would pale in comparrison.
The gambling thing wasn't a big deal. Not nearly as big of one as the media conveyed it to be. Jordan was making more than enough to cover it, so it never destroyed him or anything. Besides, its not like he pulled a Pete Rose. He liked to bet on his golf games. Not a big deal. The shot against the Jazz, which was great, yes...but it wasn't the end, therefore it wasn't climactic, it was just another shot. And wasn't his father murdered? None the less, it would be all of 15 minutes on film.
*Shrug* Jordan's story is great and always will be. I just don't think it lends itself to anything more than an ESPN documentary. Not a theatrical film.
Yes, it was impressive. Yes, it was inspiring. But what you are describing is a movie about Jordan's fans. Not Jordan.
That could be another thing. Jordan is still young, and healthy. Its sort of hard to turn a man into a God when they are still with us or even just in good health.
oops sorry for taking ur idea bud...do i get in trouble now? I like the get a talented actor and make him look bigger idea better anyway, cuz most of these athletes just dont look comfortable in front of the camera...BTW, what did u think of Ray Allen in that movie?
