A new iPod...

What do you think of that design?

  • Awesome design! The digital scroll wheel is a great move!

  • Horrible design! I don't want to have to touch the screen!

  • No opinion...

Video game systems don't work well with me. I got a Gamecube and have used it, like, 30-40 times... It's not worth it.

And my old Genesis and Game Gear. :) The only modern game console I have is a Gamecube.

Im not an Ipod mark , but depending upon screen size, picture quality, battery life ect, i would seriously consider this if Ipod genuinely produced something like it

If anyone had ever wondered the meaning of "consumer ****e," they'd need look no further than this thread...

Nice concept and good work from whoever did them.

The screen however is too large for the physical dimensions of the product plus with the iPods construction, some serious work would have to go into keeping strength up... that means extra weight and size.

hell yes, Im a gadget freak.

Why is this still not out yet? I want an ipod, but I want "the next one".

Im planing on getting an ipod video today , but they seem to be sold out everywhere in london :(

It would get dirty, and i'd probably break it.
Best iPod (without video) was iPod mini.

There will always be a 'Next one' :(

Anyway, expect the next iPod Jan 07.

They may announce the next one tomorrow at Steve Jobs' annual Mac keynote thing....

PREDICTION: Steve Jobs will announce a new iPod on August 7th. This iPod will revolutionize the music world... Or just look very cool. Either way, the world will remain relatively unchanged.

If I am wrong then I will admit my error, but my sources (various Mayan texts, Miss Cleo, that fortuneteller machine from the movie "Big", etc.) are never wrong! :o

It's possible, but unlikely. The Mac Developer's Conference is geared towards professional users and developers, so they tend to stick to things like new features in the upcoming OS and announcements of the pro level machines. The iPod is a decidedly consumer device so it's probably not going to get much mention at this week's event. I'd suspect we'll see a separate media event of some sort to promote the new iPod and any related services like the rumored iTunes Movie Store all on their own (which they've done in the past). Why burn up your potential media coverage in one shot when you can drag it out over a couple different events, anyway?
