A simple civics quiz...see how you rank

I also find it funny that many conservatives explain themselves by saying that they don't side with either party, yet they always vote Republican on everything.

I don't vote republican, to be honest I didn't vote at all last time. Believe me, my parents are Catholic. My dad and I argued almost every day growing up about our different views on things.

Also, how do you know conservatives all say that?? As far as I knew, the majority of conservatives are religiouos and are in fact Republican. I just don't recall hearing or seeing many of them say that they don't side with either party.

If you don't vote Republican, wouldn't that then make you a Democrat?

LOL, there are some people that don't always chose sides when it comes to certain things. I was raised Catholic/Republican but it didn't stick. When I first started voting years ago I listed under Repub. After thinking about things and reading up on stuff I don't fully vote for one side or the other. For all I know I may be registered still as a Republican but I don't always vote on Republican type bills, same for Democrat as well.

What about on issues? Never taken the Republican stance on an issue?
Occasionally, but not nearly as often as I've taken a Democractic stance. But I do support the Patriot Act and, as an ex member of the Army, I like to shoot guns. That's pretty much the end of my right wing leanings. I don't agree with abortion on a personal level, but what I disagree with more is the federal government telling people weather or not they can have an abortion.

I don't know. I guess I'm middle of the fence.

It's just that all too often do I run into people who are quick to tell me that they make up their own mind...and then they drive away with Bush sticker on the back on the back of their car.

Ever noticed those are some of the worst drivers?

I was flipping through the radio stations at lunch the other day, and I caught Rush Limbaugh urging people to buy the biggest gas guzzler they can because they're American, and they're entitled to it.

What are we the only two people on the Hype today? Well, Limbaugh is an idiot. I don't think anybody takes what he has to say seriously. At least I hope not.

Have you ever listened to his show? He's got more then his share of listeners calling to thank him for existing.

No I haven't. I remember seeing him on TV a couple of times, but I was too young to really understand where he was coming from. Or I just didn't care. One of the two. Well, f**k it. Let him urge a bunch of people who don't make near as much money as him to go out and by something they can't afford. They'll either learn their lesson or realize that he's an ass.

Oh I got one for ya who said this " Trees make more poplution than cars "

Yes its a fact this person said this............

These quotes stand on their own. Hillary has never been on the side of the individual. Her own professor identified her as a socialist.

"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society." [Hillary Clinton, 1993
I'm still trying to figure out the problem with that statement. I don't think I'm a socialist, but I certainly don't think tax cuts for the wealthy are working.

listeners aka freedom fighters. i listen to his show everyday actually, but not because i agree with him, in fact i don't agree with anything most of the time, but i like to get the hardcore-jump-to-conclusions opinions he loves to throw out. and the things he complains about are priceless. not to mention the few liberals who call in to actually try to argue only to get yelled at and talked over. its really quite good radio.

Trickle down economics have proven to not work.

Say a product costs one dollar and you give the very wealthy manufacturer of that product a substantial tax cut. He is not going to lower his price to 75 cents, he is going to pocket his big tax cut and continue to charge a dollar and make more money.

why not obligate them to lower the price as a condition for the tax break?

Or charge 1.10 and blame inflation?
