Age of Ultron Aaron Johnson is Quicksilver

Black Widow and Hawkeye are/were their SHIELD codenames.

I'm pretty confident that Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch will be referred to as such in the film. With every other hero having been officially been named, it'd be weird not to do the same with them.

It's not a matter of weird though, it's a matter of rights. We know both FOX and marvel/disney have the rights to use the character but I don't believe they are equal in how they can be used. To my knowledge FOX can do certain things with the character that marvel can't.

Fox has the mutant terminology and the Magneto relationship. Other than that, they're both pretty much fair game.

How do people think or how do people want to see Quicksilver visually done? I am sure Whedon will bring some really cool sequences involving him.

I don't know how fast he is in the comics but in DOFP he seemed almost too fast if that makes sense. I'd like to see a see a scene like the the breakout scene but more like the Futarama Fry 100 coffees scene, where the surroundings weren't completely still but just moving in slow motion and it showed Fry zipping around..

It could also possibly be cool to have a scene or a fight be from his pov and show how he can land several punches before someone has thrown one or something..

I think vsually too i'd like to see somethig different to what Singer did, like maybe a blur on him or something.. (at first in DOFP it looked more like teleportation than speed).. it could be visually interesting to show an outline or blur of himself ahead of him.. like when he sets off show an outline of him reaching target, as if he's in two places at once. Kinda similar to the effect the lord marshall displayed at the end of chronicles of riddick. I don't know if that would work for a speed power mind 'cos in Riddick it meant he could predict his moves but if they could make it work it could look different and cool imo.

[blackout]I did like the effect of him trying to control it in TWS stinger..[/blackout]

Anyone have any better ideas lol or has Whedon dropped any hints of what we might see..

Joss already filmed QS speeding in Cap 2. He'll probably look like that.

I hope Whedon does some cool stuff with Pietro in this one. DOFP QS was sick. That scene was just great imo.:woot: He looked like he was teleporting. Whedon's Pietro seems slower compared to Singer's judging from the Cap 2 mid credits scene. At least they have a different effect when speeding. Whedon's leaves a trail and Singer's is basically teleporting, he's that fast.:woot:

Joss' version will be different because hes a main part of the movie. It wont be just a couple scenes with him. Im sure he'll find a way to make him look really cool in various ways. Also I think QS will learn to use his powers better as he learns more about them.

I have nothing but trust & respect for Joss Whedon so I fully expect him to make QS as badass as possible. :D

I have an idea of how Pietro can be as cool or cooler than peter.

Have a scene where Pietro disassembles a tank in super speed. That would be cool to watch.

No disservice to Evan peters though. There's room for both interpretations of quicksilver :)

If they get into a contest to see which version can perform better feats they'll have lost already. There's so much more to making someone cool than just amping up their feats beyond another character.

Well, imo anyway.

I don't think that Aaron Johnson can act more cool and smug than Evan Peters QS.

Though, it can happen as Whedon is capable of doing that.

Joss def wont be using DOFP as a reference, whatever he gives us is all his interpretation of Pietro. which is how it should be.

They pretty much got around the codename thing plausibly for the most part. Iron Man is the name of the armors, Black Widow is Natasha's spy handle, and "The Hawk" is maybe a nickname for Clint. Someone will refer to Wanda as a witch obviously, don't know how QS will get his.

Clint is straight up referred to as Hawkeye during the final battle.

Whedon is used to writing a *****e. He's had practice with Spike. He just needs to use that personality at the very least, and then can add to it.

I think DOFP QS is way faster than his comic book counterpart; that prison break scene where he was able to do so many things before the bullets reached the other X-Men would've meant that he will be too fast for even the naked eyes to see. It makes for a cool scene, but there's a reason why Singer won't use QS in the final battle because he would've been able to win the day before Magneto could react, and it will be anti-climatic. Whedon won't only be using QS for a couple of scenes, so I expect AoU's version to have a more reasonable, but still cool, display of power.

I agree with those that have faith in Joss.

For me, I enjoyed DoFP, and yes I enjoyed EP's Quicksilver more than I thought I would. Still really don't care for the look of him though, and I personally don't agree with those that say his one main scene stole the entire movie. It was a fun scene, sure, but after viewing the whole movie, I'd say that McAvoy's performance in general was the movie stealer for me. I agree with those that say EP's QS seemed too overpowered. And with how little he was in DoFP - for me the QS bar wasn't really raised all that high.

Naturally final judgement is reserved until AoU actually comes out, but I have faith in Joss and I don't think it'll be hard for him to maintain his own vision of the character, I think he'll make it work, that he and ATJ will make QS their own, and I think they won't* have a hard time jumping over that QS bar.

Just my personal opinion thought (apologies if it didn't make sense)

Next time QS appears (in X-men universe), I am sure he will have a different costume.

Um, that *is* how fast he is in the comics. If anything, it might be on the slow side. They just didn't feel the need to have him clothesline himself on a stationary opponent, like the comic writers typically do.

Quicksilver's as fast as the speed of sound right?

Imo, ATJ is an overall better actor than Evan Peters so I'm sure he can pull it off.

Would be really cool to see Iron Man race QS in his suit.
