Seemed more like a spell that makes people see what she wants instead of actual shapeshifting. We could see the real her in the mirror. Probably made her heart look pure.

Whether or not it's something that's been in the works all along is up for debate, but it does kind of clear things up...

1. Why would Rumple killing Zelena have triggered her time travel spell, like it appeared to in those last few episodes of S3? It makes more sense IMO that it was actually something she had a hand in.
2. Marian starting to freeze over again. It suddenly makes a whole lot more sense for that to resurface, even after the Snow Queen's death, if it was all just a ploy for Z to give Regina a taste of happiness only to rip it away mere moments later.

Adam and Eddy are far more meticulous planners than people think they are, and this fact can be legitimately documented, so there's no doubt in my mind that what they revealed last night has been in the works for a while.

That reveal would have been good if weren't for he who shall not be named spoiling it weeks ago.

Oh he didn't just say it he posted pictures with no spoiler warning whatsoever and by the time you knew what you were looking at the surprise was ruined.

just a tid bit.. you might actually catch more flies with honey... like.. i don't know... people may be able to "get over it" alot easier if you at least tried to apologize...

Eddy: Apparently the quote, “The news of my death has been greatly exaggerated,” applies in this case.
Adam: From the perspective of our characters, she was dead. And from the perspective of our characters, she remains dead. Every now and then, we don’t pick our words with quite the exactitude we’d like.
Eddy: Or we have a really great idea a week later. It’s really fun to see Regina and her sister. We have a really fun idea that we love for Zelena that we started kicking around toward the end of last year and have slowly been putting into place.

It was your speculation? Posting a pic unspoiler tagged of the twist is hardly speculation. And you didn't fix it till I called you out on it, but at this point it is what it is.

If only someone here hadn't spoiled the big reveal by posting set pics without spoiler tags a few weeks ago, maybe I would have been legitimately surprised. I still liked the revelation and glad to see an underused character is finally getting more to do.

Fortunately I missed his thoughtless spoilering and was surprised at the twist although not so much as I could have been where you can literally magic-away death.
