I've never heard of Joanna Garcia but she does look like a good fit for Ariel, at least.

If we are getting The Little Mermaid, I'll be extremely curious to see who they cast as The Prince (Eric in the Disney version). He was my first cartoon crush, and in my grown-up expert opinion, remains the most handsome cartoon prince evah! I know, since they cast Emilie De Ravin as Belle, they're clearly not interested in matching the Disney looks for the characters, but come on, Prince Eric's at least gotta have those eyes. Matt Bomer or (since Matt's a little preoccupied with his own show) Tom Welling would be nice. Will also accept Tyron Leitso since he may be a more realistic choice.

With rumors of Ariel being cast, the only princess left are Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Jasmine. They probably want to save some stories for season 2. Alice, Pocahontas, and Mulan are sometimes considered princesses but I'm not sure their stories would fit the world of OUAT.

They're trying to get Joanna Garcia to play someone and it's probably Ariel. And when Donut said Flashback I think he meant in the fairy world aka Flash-Fairy World. He also could mean we see an episode like Cinderella where we see her before and then after in the same episode.

Seeing Zack actually suggested as Flynn made me think of something. You know, my daughter has become obsessed with Tangled and Mother Gothel and Donna Murphy (the actress that voices Gothel). If they cast Donna Murphy as Mother Gothel in this show, I think her head would explode!

I honestly do not expect them to do anything with Aladdin or other tales outside of European origin, mainly because the Queen's curse was focused on those living in and around the Enchanted Forest area, and all the stories we've seen so far have just dealt with that area. A desert area would likely be too far away to be affected.
