Is this show any good? I had planned to watch it but got caught up in other stuff. For frame of reference some shows I like: Lost, Battlestar Galactica, sons of anarchy, justified. This show similar in quality to any of those?

It's more or less season 1 of LOST, but with fairy tale characters instead of plane crash survivors. The mythology isn't quite as dense as the later years and everything is a bit more light-hearted. I love it, and would highly recommend it.

Short descriptions of episode 9 and 10:

Episode 10 "7:15 AM" (Airs January 22)

Cool. I'll check it out.

wow!! This show is turning into the new Lost for me....totally did not expect what happened in the last episode to happen....

This is not Season 1 of LOST...lets not go that far.

I'll go as far as I please, damn you. :o

I love all those shows and while Once isn't on their level it's very watchable.

Looks like we'll be seeing more of Little Red Riding Hood soon.

I'm really loving this show. I rarely get into shows during their 1st season because it sucks when they get cancelled without any real resolution and I never was a fan of Disney's Snow White or Cinderella so I was really iffy about this show. Finally caved after a few friends raved about it and am glad I did.

There's so many fairy tale based movies being released in 2012 that I wonder if the market will be over-saturated. It'll be interesting to see how this show survives. Look at the vampire craze started by Twilight. True Blood and Vampire Diaries have been the only success stories.

Eh, I don't know. I think this show is fortunate enough to have started before the floodgates are opened with all the movies next year. If it had premiered afterward, and people had started to become burned out by all the movies, then I'd think that is cause for concern. But beginning before, and gaining as large of an audience as it did, is a good sign IMO. If it can hold a strong fanbase, it won't matter how tired people are of the movies and such. The fans will already be attached to the story being told.

Well, if we use the vampire craze as a precedent, there's a been a place for successful TV shows and movies based on it, and since this is one of only two prominent TV shows capitalizing on it, I think it'll be ok. And like Sawyer said, this was the first one out of the gate, so it got a chance to hook the people who go for this kind of stuff first. Future fairytale-inspired shows trying to capitalize on the trend would probably have more to worry about than this one.

And thats a great thing:woot:

:awesome: Especially since we only saw her in Fairy Tale Land in the pilot. We've seen literally nothing of her as Red Riding Hood since then.

And I can't wait to see the spin they put on Hansel and Gretel.

MARY MARGARET AND DAVID CONTINUE TO GRAPPLE WITH THEIR UNREQUITED LOVE, AND SNOW WHITE TRIES TO EASE HER BREAKING HEART AS PRINCE CHARMING'S WEDDING TO KING MIDAS'S DAUGHTER APPROACHES, ON ABC'S "ONCE UPON A TIME"

"7:15 A.M." - Mary Margaret and David continue to grapple with their unrequited love, and Emma and Regina grow suspicious over a mysterious new stranger in town. "Once Upon a Time" stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold, Lana Parrilla as Evil Queen/Regina, Jared Gilmore as Henry Mills, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David and Raphael Sbarge as Jiminy Cricket/Archie Hopper.

Guest starring are Lee Arenberg as Leroy/Grumpy, Anastasia Griffith as Kathryn/Abigail, Meghan Ory as Ruby/Red Riding Hood, Alan Dale as King George, Kwesi Ameyaw as Dr. Thatcher, Eion Bailey as stranger, Jonathan Holmes as majordomo, Michasha Armstrong as guard, Geoff Gustafson as Stealthy, David-Paul Grove as Doc, Gabe Khouth as Sneezy, Faustino Di Bauda as Sleepy, Jeffrey Kaiser as Dopey, Michael Coleman as Happy and Mig Macario as Bashful.

The stranger... presumably Eion Bailey's character.... Henry's father, perhaps?

big fan of this show (my cousin introduced me to it after I had no interest)

loving the evil queen/Mayor

Just saw the last episode. Sad to see Graham/Huntsman go. He was my favorite character so far. At least we got one good girl on girl fight between Regina and Emma. :woot:
