ABC's Once Upon a Time

I am starting to lean toward number 1.

[BLACKOUT]Along with what you pointed out, Geppetto and Pinocchio were the ones that built the vessel. Maybe they found a way to send him to our world along with Emma? I would think Geppetto would want to save his boy pretty bad. Plus, we now know that Pinochio will be in Episode 20 "The Stranger".[/BLACKOUT]

[BLACKOUT]I've always thought that Geppetto used the same wood he used to build Pinocchio to build the vessel.[/BLACKOUT]

I really hope that when/if we see Malifecent again, she's wearing her horns. I've thought the costume department has been doing a pretty good job thus far, but her look when we saw her just came off as cheap-looking.

[BLACKOUT]Hmm. That could be true. The Blue Fairy only said the tree was enchanted. She never said it wasn't used before. I like that explanation.[/BLACKOUT]

Another interesting theory I came across was:

[BLACKOUT]August is Peter Pan. Peter could go from Neverland to our world anytime. Perhaps he got stuck here when the Curse took affect. The episode he was introduced in was called True North and that is the way to get to Neverland.[/BLACKOUT]

nope, she should hate her mother not the kid

Well, we only saw the start of it. My guess is that at first her hate is pretty much entirely focused at her mom. It's not until she's let it eat away at her for over a decade that it turns into irrational super villainy.

My only problem with that, and it's a totally personal one, is that Pan in the books was characterized as a totally spaced out sociopath. He was heroic because saving people and fighting villains was the role he chose to play, but he was kind of divorced from reality and the consequences of his actions. He treated everything he did like a game and everyone around him like toys to pick up and discard at his choosing. He even killed one of the Lost Boys during the final fight with Hook and his men just so it would be more sporting. I'm not saying any of that rules out August as Pan, because of character development and all, I'm just saying that I think the original characterization of Pan as basically a heroic version of The Joker is more interesting and I'd rather see that if he shows up in Storybrook.

Pretty much.

I figure Regina eventually kills her mom when she gains enough power.

But her life is still not the one she wanted. And all those years of building hate have no where to go but onto Snow.

And it's better than the original motivation from the movie. That she's not the prettiest of them all. :p

Regina is so ****ing hot lol. Especially when shes in her "Evil Queen" clothing

The reason Regina hates Snow White is just absurd. Hating a naive kid this much and for this long is just silly. Knowing her mother she should know that it was her that manipulated the little girl and focused her wrath on her rather than a kid. Especially given the ending when Regina figures out that it was her mother that made the horse go out of control.

well... these fairyTales have always been based on human nature, as ilogical as it is.

some depictions of the Evil Queen have her hating Snow White because she stole "her" attention away from the father. So... yeah. I wouldn't really invest too much time expecting some big epic thing to make you sympathize with regina.

I've seen two theories that I'm favoring alot right now about August:

1. [blackout]He's Pinocchio. This is mostly because of a couple things that came up during last night's ep. First, he said he had a problem with "shin splints" when he was younger. I know it's not related much, but when most people think of a splint, the mind kinda goes straight to a wooden splint you put on a broken bone. Wood = wooden boy, etc. Kind of a stream of thought theory. But also, there was the line where he was very adamant that he wasn't a liar. And what fairy tale character do we know has a thing about lying? The only big question is how he got out of Storybrooke first, and how he grew up instead of staying a young boy.[/blackout]

2. [blackout]He's the narrator of Henry's story book given form. The theory is that the curse gave everything in the book a form in the real world, which somehow included the third person narrator who usually tells the stories to the reader of the book. That could help explain how he already knows who everyone truly is and what the curse is, and how he's a "writer", as well.[/blackout]
hmmm i'm going to go with theory #1,
it'd explain the randomness of "shin splints" and after all... he did want to be a "real boy" so maybe he got sent to the "real world". Though..... if he knows about the book, and the stories.. you'd think he'd visit gepetto.

In the spoiler pics from "The Stranger"
We see Pinocchio as a real boy before the curse, we also see Gepetto looking at his leg while he is still puppet as though something is wrong
so yeah I agree with theory 1.

If August is Pinocchio then he probably didn't visit Gepetto because he didn't want to alarm him. How would he go about explaining to Gepetto that he was his son that he originally created as a puppet from an alternate world?

he wouldn't have to explain all that to him...

I'm thinking, if the theory is true, it'd have more to do with [blackout]August keeping his distance for his own sake, rather than his father's. To see a loved one of yours that has absolutely no recollection of who you are... that must be rough.[/blackout]

true. But the show also gives the illusion that the town is pretty small.[blackout]i'd imagine it'd be hard not to run into him. And also very hard to not give in and see your father anyway.

also.. it kinda makes sense that he's adding pages into the book, considering he knows several of the stories first hand. I also wouldn't be surprise if P was "trapped" in the real world (much like that hatter in his house). Till Emma came to town.[/blackout]

I seem to recall Emma, a few episodes back, reading some newspaper clippings, one of which said that she was discovered as a baby by a 7/8 year old boy..... perhaps it was August/P and either Geppetto told him where to find her or they both came into the world at the same time/place.

that'd make alot of sense!

They should introduce rose red as a new threat to snow white

Did you see those throbbing veins on Regina's forehead when she was quitely going insane with rage at Snow?

You guys were spot on with the actress playing the younger Snow. Looks like she couldve been Ginnifer as a kid.

I actually jumped online to see if this was the case lol. The resemblance was spot on.

Same here. I thought she had to be her sister or something.

indeed. Rose red is an often forgotten fairytale character. though.. technically the Snow in that story isnt the same Snow. But.. they can and should fudge that.

My guess: Stranger is [BLACKOUT]Rumple's son. There's a production still of the next episode floating around in which it appears Rumple is giving his dagger to his son. It could explain Stranger's 'shin splints' if he's carrying that dagger around his ankle.[/BLACKOUT]
