How do I justify it? its simple really, like I said before the defining characterisitcs are sum total representative of the character. If you're missing one, the entire character is lost.

Bruce wayne and batman are two different personas. Your argument and logic are flawed b/c you are combining the two when each has its own distinctive qualities. No, keaton was not bruce wayne, simply b/c he lacked the looks. Batman? yes, b/c of the batsuit, psychology, and intimidating quality (the things needed to be batman) he was batman. Keaton was one persona, but he wasn't the other.

Most Bonds started out looking more youthful then got old-looking. This guy is starting out with the "old" look. Geez....how long before they replace this one??

According to Fleming, Bond does have a scar in his face in the books. A noticable scar.
