Can't have an intellectual analysis of Batman V Superman, because obviously there is no worthwhile material in the movie to analyze. These deeper themes and meanings were not intentional and we as people who liked the film are just coming up with these elements out of nowhere. Even though the filmmakers have corroborated the intentional presence of those themes, people who liked the film are just seeing things that aren't there.

Who else is on your punching priority list? :hehe:

Another great observation on Lex but as I see it, he wanted everyone to bow to his will, not just the women. He treats that other male Senator like a child, manipulates Bats and Supes to do his bidding and treats the Russians and the mobsters as totally expendable in his quest to get the Kryptonite to Bats.

Lex was a total control freak and that's what he means when he says "have enough knowledge to know that you have no power in this world" or something like that.

Haha, thanks for the support guys! :hehe: :D

Just kidding. Great analysis. Fresh and something to think about. Though, I don't think I'll ever think about these kinda things while watching movies.

I just want to see Batman kick major arse.

So I was checking wikipedia a few days back and was reading about the Jungian concepts of Anima and Animus and found this:

"The anima and animus can be identified as the totality of the unconscious feminine psychological qualities that a man possesses or the masculine ones possessed by a woman, respectively. It is an archetype of the collective unconscious and not an aggregate of father or mother, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, or teachers, though these aspects of the personal unconscious can influence the person for good or ill.

Because a male's sensitivity is often lesser or repressed, the anima is one of the most significant autonomous complexes of all. It is said to manifest itself by appearing in dreams.
    "

Should I add that to the post? It would perfectly explain why Bruce is having all these dreams in the first place! :)

Well hi guys. I'm back from my week long probationary ban and I wanted to update the OP with all the changes I've made to it.

The article is truly completed now, well nothing is ever truly complete but it's as close to perfect as I could want it. I've added a lot of new stuff and would like to shout out to 'Mad Ones' for their point about Wonder Woman which I've added in there now.

I hope you guys like the updated version. And btw, it's also been posted a DCEU fan blog here > https://dceufilms.wordpress.com/2016/04/04/about-martha-the-masculine-vs-the-feminine-in-bvs/

you are absolutely right... we have been trained to view superhero movies as some no-brain-needed, action packed, fun and light movies.

BvS contradicts to the perception and the expectation of the movie goers. the safer reaction... to join the crowd and can make fun of the others...
