About Phoenix and Cyclops when they kiss....

If so.... wow how much does that suck. No wonder he didnt kiss her in the first two movies, lol.

they had a quick peck on the lips near the beginning in x2... and near the end of x2.

They also kiss in X1. Nothing extraordinairly romantic, you don't see them express deep feelings and then give each other a tonsilectomy. The most emotional we ever get is when they hug at the beginning of X2 and after Scott comes to his senses and retrieves her and apologizes for blasting her.

X3 doesn't count. They didn't even have time to enjoy it. :P

but what if she turned him into something else... and he felt he was changing and he tried to stop her...thus he opened his eyes and tried to break free and she lost control of his optic blast and the blow sent both of them falling back... he into the woods...she... where we saw her on the ground when she was found by Ororo.

which leads into the scene I havn't written yet just as Jean leaves the infirmary, a hand reaches out and grabs her by the mouth...er... well he has his hand covering her mouth and he pulls her into the shadows and tries to get her to calm down... -sighs-

I loved the kiss... it had a lot a passion behind it only for her to kill him with it. That kiss was genuine. For me X3 was the fisrt time I could say I could see the love between them

That's more or less the angle that this and the other forums agreed on. Some suggested it was diabolical in nature, ie the Phoenix surfaced, Scott saw the danger and broke free. Others like yours truly insist that it was purely accidental: Jean couldn't hold back his beams as easily as she thought she could, or it had side effects (ie pain for Scott).

Another infirmary scene? oooh sounds interesting.

yeah... i'll probably write it out later tonight but not until I watch X2 and love and Sex... I need to visualize Jean and scott's expressions and reactions to get the impact of the scene down... so it'll work.

Seeing Scott and Jean kiss in X3 made me wish that(even though I hate mushy-love stuff) Singer had incorperated more romantic interludes into X1 and X2. I think thats why his "death" didnt hit me the way it could have. I was thinking "jeez that's messed up, she killed him...but moving on". The only reason I know that Jean and Scott are these great lovers is because of the comics, but from the movies I didnt get that feeling. IMO that was one thing both Singer and Ratner didnt do

Though the whole thing with Jean and Wolverine I liked too.

well atleast... he wouldn't have claws... ... or healing factor. if Jean wanted him so badly...and she raked her nails into his skin, Scott could easily take the pain and that would drive him crazy and start feeling her leg up and down...
