I like the suit.

lol I was just trying to figure out where he was getting all this sexual stuff from the cartoon

So then you agree that Rhino and Venom should be able to kill Spidey, since he can get rocked by a normal person. 'Kay.
If they weren't able to kill or injure Spidey then they would not be a threat and the show would be boring; so yes, in theory they could kill him.

He has a chance of dodging them? He's been shot how many times versus the number of bullets fired at him? And How many bullets can Sable dodge?

Ad Superman doesn't need to dodge bullets. He deflects them.
My point was that Spidey does has enhanced reflexes but definitely not to the point where he can not move as quickly as Superman; assuming Supes wanted to dodge bullets. I'm pretty certain that Spidey wouldn't be able to continuously dodge a barrage of bullets without cover and without getting out of the firing line.

Hmm. Dodges bullets. Can leap dozens of feet in the air. Can run about 80 miles an hour. Nah he can't dodge someone up close.
Run at 80 miles an hour? Where did you get that from?

Dude, I'm a martial artist. I don't have any clairvoyance, yet I can sense and see an attack coming. Spidey would be many times faster.\ in that he can sense the attack before its launched.
So...you're really saying that you wouldn't be caught out by any attacks within your field of vision? I can understand being able to sense attacks when facing an opponent directly but when you're not squaring off?

In this series, the spider-sense doesn't go off for attacks in plain sight and so he can be caught out if an opponent is quick and skilled enough as shown by Tombstone.

Of course. Someone with no super powers can stun someone 100 times stronger, 20 times faster. Sure, that makes sense.
As I said, physical strength does not equate to durability. For example, a powerful boxer can still have a glass jaw. Peter has the proportionate strength of a spider but he hasn't developed an exoskeleton so where has the ability to endure physical abuse come from?

You do that. Althuogh Liz wasn't wearing a night gown was she?
It's not unheard of for people to answer the door in their night gown: Cherie Blair (wife of the former U.K. prime minister). Teenagers often wear large t-shirts as a night gown or pyjamas; isn't that how most teenage girls are portrayed in films and television?

Since when it became a bad thing if a hot girl shows her boyfriend a bit of naked legs? Are you, like, a time traveler from 19th century, Dragon?

I didn't say it was a bad thing.. I just said she was dressed ****ty.

Silver Sable has got to have some kind of superhuman enhancements in this cartoon Spidey-verse in order to be able to take all the punishment she got and still walk away. She got hit by Hammerhead's car twice, had the door slammed in her face, had Spidey thrown at her... and those are just the things I can remember off the top of my head. No way a normal human could have taken that kind of punishment. I have a feeling Black Cat and The Enforcers have similar enhancements to varying degrees. Otherwise, it's just ridiculous how much trouble Spidey has with them.

Spidey's turning into quite the punching bag this season... he seems to just sit there like a deer caught in headlights whenever some decides to pummel him. Ugh... still not anywhere near as bad as Spider-man TAS, but this episode, in particular, was the first where it seemed like he was severely de-powered save for being able to recover quickly from all the punishment he takes.

It's 2009--only an incredibly sheltered prude would think that she was dressed ****ty in that scene...groan.

No. Since you believe Sable could do damage to him, thus your "can't take it" statement, then Spidey should be dead after fighting the likes of Venom or Rhino. If he "can't take it" from her, then he should have been killed by them.

I'm pretty certain that Spidey wouldn't be able to continuously dodge a barrage of bullets without cover and without getting out of the firing line.

And yet he does that constantly, including in this show.

Run at 80 miles an hour? Where did you get that from?

In ASM Annual #1 he outruns Kraven's cheetahs. Since Cheetahs run approaching 70 miles an hour, Spidey can top that.

So...you're really saying that you wouldn't be caught out by any attacks within your field of vision? I can understand being able to sense attacks when facing an opponent directly but when you're not squaring off?

I don't understand your question. If we're not squaring off then I'm not being attacked. An opponent has to form an aggressive stance to launch an attack, thus we would be squaring off. And what does this have to do with Spidey? Sable and Spidey were squaring off.

In this series, the spider-sense doesn't go off for attacks in plain sight and so he can be caught out if an opponent is quick and skilled enough as shown by Tombstone.

Tombstone is superhuman.

As I said, physical strength does not equate to durability.

Yes it does. Go kick an elephant.

For example, a powerful boxer can still have a glass jaw.

Glass jaws are more mental than physical. And often is about being caught off guard. Since Spidey has a spider sense, that wouldn't happen.

Peter has the proportionate strength of a spider but he hasn't developed an exoskeleton so where has the ability to endure physical abuse come from?

His muscle and bone would be densified. That's how his body can handle the stress of lifting tons of weight and not being squashed.

It's not unheard of for people to answer the door in their night gown: Cherie Blair (wife of the former U.K. prime minister).

And she's wearing more than Liz.

And teens often have sex and get kocked up. In fact they're finding out that teens are having more sex and getting knocked up because of how teens are portrayed in TV and films.

Anyway. Liz wasn't wearing a large t-shirt.

Untrue. I think she was dressed ****ty. :woot:

You guys are hilarious.

Did you see other episodes, or just this? Spider-man was fighting rhino and other superpowered freaks, did you see what they are doing to him? And you tell me about durability?

yeah and when in this cartoon did all that stuff happen get your mind out of the gutter. you're thinking about stuff that has nothing to do with a cartoon for kids. no one is going to see that less that 3 minute scene in a cartoon and go have sex because of it. I don't know what world you live in, but all that stuff has absolutely nothing to do with this cartoon. sorry that the cartoon characters shirt wasn't long enough for you, but you are going way overboard with the ideas you're getting from it.

Yeah, I've never seen Spidey take the sort of punishment he's taken in this series and get up and walk away after a few moments of being stunned. He oughta be dodging a whole lot more or hurting a whole lot more. It was kind of silly watching him being smacked around HARD by Sandman and Rhino in Reinforcements, and then show-up totally uninjured with coffee for the girls. Heh... everyone seems to recover quickly in this show! Silver Sable's got to have some sort of superhuman enhancements to take what she took and dished-out this episode.

it would seem a little ****ty if she came out like that then the entire football team walked out the door after.

yeah she was dressed ****ty for bed

Her bed is a pimp ! :woot:

Seriously just ignore the guy, he made it clear on tother threads he doesnt enjoy the show, so he will continue to nitipick on something he doesnt like....but CONTINUES TO WATCH.

this thread has diverted too much, a mod should make a thread drift with those posts.

LOL! Yeah, this line of thinking is just ridiculous... girls show more skin in bathing suits. Does that automatically make them ****ty every time they decide to go swimming in a public pool?

yeah some people like to start argument for no reason other than they like to argue. I really enjoyed this episode and don't get why everyone is so willy nilly over the fact that Spidey got beat up. these weren't just common thugs. they might not have powers but that doesn't mean they can't get the upper hand in a fight. having a spider-sense and super strength doesn't make him unbeatable.

I don't know why people seem to think Sable beat the hell out of Spidey. Other than that swift kick on the helicopter and a couple of kicks and punches which really didn't faze him it was Hammerhead who was dishin the punishment with the headbutts. Other than that it was more her and her weaponry.

That's the thing--we don't even know for sure if Sable is a normal human in this world. From watching the episode, I just assume she has to have some kind of superhuman augmentation. There's no other way she could have held onto that package when Spidey tried to yank it out of her hand.

from they way people are talking about it seems like Superman got "beat" by Hammerhead and Silver Sable.

Well, with Hammerhead runnin around, helicopters firing bullets, Silver Sable shooting staples, and explosions there was a lot going on. I never saw any where in this episode Sable beatin the hell out of Spiderman. Nor did I ever expect him to hit her with an upper cut in retaliation. Spiderman would probably not even retaliate against the females otherwise he would have smacked Black Cat out cold and left her for the police.

i didn't say she was ****ty. I said she was dressed ****ty. And do you actually think bathing suits aren't meant to be sexy? What would be the reason for the Sports Illustrated Swim suit issue? Sports?

those are two different thing if a woman puts on a bathing suit she's going to the beach/pool not to be sexy to go swimming. when I woman has pictures taken of herself posing in a magazine geared towards men thats meant to be sexy. they're two different things.

If we see an episode where Liz goes to school like that then maybe ****ty would come to mind. However in the comfort of her own home and its late at night, ****ty would never have crossed my mind.
