those are two different thing if a woman puts on a bathing suit she's going to the beach/pool not to be sexy to go swimming. when I woman has pictures taken of herself posing in a magazine geared towards men thats meant to be sexy. they're two different things.
When did she act like a *****, exactly? Flash was recovering from an injury, and because she still cares about him, as she told Peter later, she got caught up in trying to help him (something Flash exploited). Then she went to Peter and said that while she'll always care about Flash (implicit in which, that she knows she's been focussing on him a lot lately), she wants to date him.Or maybe you don't understand what arrogance is. After Flash's injury, Liz calls Peter to wait with her. Then, when Flash appears she acts repeatedly like a b**** to Peter. She never apologizes to him for that, nor does she even realize she's done something wrong.
The reason is that Spider-Man has a lot of human villains who have traditionally been able to go hand-to-hand with him in the comics and this show (look at the Enforcers in the very first episode of this series). We should ask Greg Weisman about this. I'm sure he has a good reason why Spider-Man seemed so vulnerable.
Just like you said, it was Hammerhead dishin out all the punishment sneakin behind him amid the distractions. I hardly think Sable was that much of a physical threat. Othe than the kick on the helicopter that made him fall he seemed more amused kind of like his fight with Black cat.Beside what Liz was wearing when Peter showed up at her front door, I kind of agree with Dragon.
Spider-Man has superhuman strength, agility, reflexes, and a spider-sense. It would be nearly impossible for regular thugs to take on Spider-Man.
When I watched this episode, Silver Sable and Hammerhead were beating up Spider-Man pretty bad. Hammerhead headbutted him, charged/tackled him, punched him, threw him, etc. I'm not too concerned with Hammerhead. Obviously, he has some kind of power enhancement since his head is hard as metal. As for Silver Sable, she seems like a master at martial arts and with military weapons. Although Spider-Man has far more abilities, he's still vulnerable to some attacks and to some injuries. The fight between Spider-Man and Hammerhead/Silver Sable was great, but maybe a little exaggerated, especially how Spider-Man got tossed around. But overall, it's still a great episode. And hey, Spider-Man is still a teenager. He's not that experienced yet.
We should ask Greg Weisman about this. I'm sure he has a good reason why Spider-Man seemed so vulnerable.
At least this Spider-Man is a whole lot better than the STAS Spider-Man. In STAS, Spider-Man pretty much got beat up all the time. He didn't put much of a fight against his opponents/villains.
How old are you? What does the term "swimsuit ready" mean to you? It's because women want to look hot in a swimsuit.
And going back to Liz- You're telling me that if a girl is standing in front of you dressed as she was, you'd be thinking about baseball?
Guys, enough with debate over Liz. Its done. If it continues there will be infractions.

She has admitted her wrong and clearly states her intentions to wanting to be with Peter in Shear Strength. We all know she still had feelings for Flash. Since then she has been all over Peter like white on rice. When Peter arrives at the hospital to support her she just leaves him hanging. At the Ice rink, Peter tries to talk to her and she abruptly snaps at him becasuse Flash starts barking at her. And again she doesn't even relaize she's doing something wrong.
And they tend to put on robes and slippers or even a pair of PANTS when someone shows up to see them or they step into the hallway. That is unless they're hookers or planning a sexual liason.
THANK YOU! Spidey was talking when she was doing all of her little fighting moves on him...he was moving around but he didn't seem hurt at all. you could throw a 1 pound weight around easily but it would hurt if one pound of weight was thrown at you...of course depending how hard and all that but still... anyway Hammerhead was whooping Spidey, Sable just threw her little punches and stuff but that's it...I don't know why people seem to think Sable beat the hell out of Spidey. Other than that swift kick on the helicopter and a couple of kicks and punches which really didn't faze him it was Hammerhead who was dishin the punishment with the headbutts. Other than that it was more her and her weaponry.
Although I did not say Sable could do damage to Spidey. Would you care to explain why Spidey dodges if Sable can not do any damage to him? What's the point? According to you he's invulnerable like Superman. You're also saying he's invulnerable to Rhino and Venom; the villains originally referenced by you.No. Since you believe Sable could do damage to him, thus your "can't take it" statement, then Spidey should be dead after fighting the likes of Venom or Rhino. If he "can't take it" from her, then he should have been killed by them.
Do you see Spidey stay in one spot and just move his body to dodge individual bullets? No you don't because even with lightning reflexes he would not be able to continuously do it. What you do see is Spidey using his reflexes to dodge out of the line of fire. And yet he does that constantly, including in this show.
That's new to me so thanks for the information. In ASM Annual #1 he outruns Kraven's cheetahs. Since Cheetahs run approaching 70 miles an hour, Spidey can top that.
My question was about a situation where an opponent does not take up an aggressive stance i.e. it's a surprise attack; are you able to tell and react? Of course you would expect Spidey to be able to react far more quickly but whether he's successful is dependant upon the speed of the attack. Does that not make sense?I don't understand your question. If we're not squaring off then I'm not being attacked. An opponent has to form an aggressive stance to launch an attack, thus we would be squaring off. And what does this have to do with Spidey? Sable and Spidey were squaring off.
I don't think that that's been confirmed anywhere?Tombstone is superhuman.
Clearly it has nothing to do with their thick hide...Yes it does. Go kick an elephant.
Glass jaws are more mental than physical. And often is about being caught off guard. Since Spidey has a spider sense, that wouldn't happen.
His muscle and bone would be densified. That's how his body can handle the stress of lifting tons of weight and not being squashed.
You're right that clearly Spidey is more durable but that doesn't mean he can't be knocked down or injured which is the real point here. If any human being hit him with enough force then he would be moved or knocked back, it's simple Physics because unlike Superman, he's not super heavy and doesn't have bullet proof skin.Did you see other episodes, or just this? Spider-man was fighting rhino and other superpowered freaks, did you see what they are doing to him? And you tell me about durability?
I don't get what's the problem with the fact that Sable and Hammerhead dated, spiderman rj. I actually found it funny. Hammerhead is the man - not only he dated a hot chick like Sable, but she was also his boss' daughter. I wonder if that was the reason that Silvermane fired him?
