I love the pic of Cavill in the Superman suit. He doesn't look depressed or sad...just really annoyed or pissed off. Not really used to seeing that in a live action Superman. I have no problems with suit or the lack of underwear. I'm optimistic about this Superman reboot!

Hulk we know they were trying to do things with raven and beetle but those plans never paned out. Happens all the time. Plus no one from dce activatly starting a project up. So really if it takes a yr to another hero show I am fine with that.

On catwomen pics first anne one looks good, and the stunt actor in full suit looks great. From what they said they where going the more tatical look of present comics catwomen compared to say 60s batman or 90s batman. I think it looks good.

Watching Supergirl last night brought a tear to my eye when I saw the "Directed by Jeannot Scwarz" credit.:csad:

Supergirl is a very underrated flick imo.

KSite posted excerpts of an interview with Al Gough about Smallville's finale and he said a lot of the finale was confusing. :super:

saw that myself from a different link. Though as gough said he didnt really follow the show much once he left. So i can see where he thinks it was confusing and all that.

Since AlMiles said that their final image was always Clark suiting up and fly, in a way we got a version of that in the finale when he flew up and put on the suit in the Fortress. However, seeing Superman in action saving the plane and the world from Apokolips along with the shirt rip looks to be Peterson and Souders' version of the ending. :super:

I doubt we really know what they would have done if they stayed. Stories/ideas/ what they where or weren't allowed to show was always changing.

The kents in set photos for man of steel:

rehashing the origin again is so unnecessary.

this film is more and more looking like an attempt by WB just to put something out with the :supes: on it to retain the rights.

I loathe WB and don't trust them one iota with any of their DC properties. I think it's pretty evident now that the Nolan Bat films are a complete fluke for them.

The way I see it, no matter how good the film is, I don't think they'd be able to recapture the magic of the origin and Clark's relationship with his parents in the same way that it was done on Smallville. Regardless of how people feel about the series as a whole, or the way it ended, I think the handling of just Clark and the Kents was done very well.

I don't know. I wouldn't mind a big screen origin movie again. We haven't had that since the first Christopher Reeve movie. Judging solely on the pictures, this movie is looking pretty good to me so far.

Personally I don't see the issue with some origin stuff. Thhey need to have some sort of orgin told. So we know whhat is what with this take on characters and for them to add thhere own twists in things. Plus we don't really know how much of krypton and young kid/baby clark we will even see in the film at this point.

In honor of Smallville I hope they bleep out the word "Superman" and every scene of him in costume has him covered from the neck down with a big black censor bar that says "It's about the journey not the destination" with headshots of Brian and Kelly winking at us.

Faneditors, get to work on this!

That's fine with me. Smallville did for the Superman universe more good than pretty much anything else out there. Smallville to Superman is what Spider-Man 2 is to the Spidey franchise.

On the Android Market, there is a very fun "Smallville Quote Trivia" app. It's mainly for hardcore fans. They really do reach in and grab great quotes from the lesser liked episodes. Love this app, it really does show the time put into it. I hope more are made in the future.

Except everyone and their mother knows the basics of the origin already. He's not the Flash, everyone knows Superman's deal. Yes, we got his origin in the Reeve movie, but we've also seen it in The Animated Series, Lois & Clark, Byrne's Man of Steel, Birthright, 10 years of Smallville, flashes in SR, etc. Granted they've each been tweaked to some extent but the basic tenants are all the same.

Yeah, I think one of the better decisions of SR was just to show flashes of Clark learning to fly ... even though technically it was a vague sequel to a movie that already showed the origin.
