Activision and High Moon announcing Deadpool project at SDCC

I don't think it looks terrible at all... Not perfect but at least as good as X-Men origins Wolverine.

Oooo... kay... I think I'll skip this. The gameplay doesn't even look remotely fun. And I always hated the multiple Deadpool voices.

Gameplay looks like the only good thing about it
Glad I give 70% of the total game score for gamplay

Worst of the ones I played this gen
I'd give it the score you mentioned, definitely a 6.5/10

Of the ones I played this gen, yes, it's one of the worst two, not bad, but definitely not good
I'd probably give it 6.5 as well. But that's good I guess. Means you've played mostly good games all these years. :yay:

Yeah, I dunno what people were expecting. Still looks better than recent Spidey games.

The action looks decent but this thing will be on mute because I can't stand Deadpool, he is so irritating

LOL. I think thats what other characters in the Marvel U would say.
Starting with DareDevil and Punisher

I was expecting something worse when I clicked the link. Not that bad. I think it'll be fun enough to warrant a purchase.

And I think muting Deadpool kinda defeats the purpose of this game. There are other hack'n slash's out there with mute protagonists and better gameplay.

Speaking for myself, I gotta be skeptic or negative, helps not being let down by the final product

Gameplay looks fine for a Deadpool game, the jerk talks too much with lots of useless puns and his two conflicting inner monologue personas
Reading it in a comic is fine, listening to it is a bore, sometimes a reason of a headache

most recent Spidey games have been decent.

IA with some of thoughts on DP. I cant stand the character and find him highly annoying. Honestly one of the worst to get a push in Marvel in recent years

Thats exactly what i thought, i was ready to cringe, then i found myself laughing as Nolan North just nails the character and then i LOVED that stealth kill and the rest just looked fun. I had some Amazon credit, so ill end up getting this for 13 bux out of pocket.

I really enjoy him when he actually has a good supporting cast to interact with. But arguing all with himself in 3 different annoying voices? No thanks.

As for the gameplay, maybe it's not horrible, but it just looks really boring. A group of enemies will run at you that you can slice up in seconds, then you have another handful of enemies spread around the level which just looks big and empty, which you take down with the blandest shooting mechanics that I've seen in a while.

Fabian Nicieza, Mark waid, Joe Kelly, and Christopher Priest/James Owsley wrote good Deadpool stories with rather fine personality, not too annoying

Fabian Nicieza is one of my fave writers and very underrated and appreciated at marvel some / well I'd say at most times. he really should never have been removed from the gambit series. some times I want to kick some people at marvel for the way move him off a title once he starts some thing big, in his story arc's and they they just remove him.

Joekelly well I 've forgotten his work I think i'll have to find more . but I think I enjoyed what I did read. not enough though. Can't said much on waid. I don't think I remember reading any think of the last 2 .

Thats one of the reasons I'm buying. I own the Wolverine game and every now and then ill throw it in the system to hack ppl up. I figure ill do the same with a title featuring Pool.

I looked up Deadpool on the ESRB's website and started howling reading the description of it. I had to lower the volume of my laughter, as everyone is sleeping currently. This is spoilery?

This is an action-adventure game based on characters from the Deadpool comic book franchise. Players assume the role of Deadpool, a mercenary on a mission to hunt down and capture an evil millionaire. As players traverse enemy strongholds, they use an assortment of melee weapons (swords, sais, giant hammers) and firearms (pistols, machine guns, shotguns) to kill human soldiers and mutant enemies. Battles are frenetic and accompanied by screams of pain, gunfire, and large blood-splatter effects. Some attacks result in dismemberment or decapitations; body parts and bloodstains can be seen on the ground. Players can also employ stealth attacks, in which close-up camera angles depict more severe damage against enemies. Throughout the game, the protagonist provides irreverent commentary and jokes amidst the exaggerated acts of violence (e.g., “No guts no glory” when hanging from his entrails; “Oh that's gonna leave a mark” when dismembering an enemy; “That's because you have more comics than me” when repeatedly beating a character on the ground). The dialogue also contains mature humor, sexual material and innuendo (e.g., “Two less herpes cases to worry about,” “The pipe I was offered gives way more pleasure,” “So if I flip a coin, what are my chances of getting head?”). Other instances of mature humor include an extended toilet scene and the pumping up of an inflatable doll. During the course of the game, the protagonist is briefly shown reaching for and groping a woman's breasts; in another, he is depicted grabbing an inflatable doll's breast while in a hot tub. The words “f**k,” “*****,” and “a*shole” are heard in dialogue.

Jim Owsley changed his name to Christopher Priest

Hope this turns out good, but not convinced by some trailers and previews. Fingers crossed though.

Not a fan of the multiple voices myself, and the high pitched one def gets on my nerves... but overall I was cracking up. Saw a couple levels and there is some pretty hilarious and crazy **** goen on. Nolan North definitely sells the character, no denying that. Some creative 4th wall breaking moments as well. Definitely entertaining and probably some of the funnier stuff Way has written since his Wolverine Origins Deadpool story.

Game seems to be short, think I heard 5 or 6 hours. I think that was to be expected with the price drop though.

This is the kind of game I'd have fun playing...but won't buy until I can get it used for like $20.

Animation looks very choppy and I'm worried this game will be very short. I'll probably go bargain bin hunting for a used copy in a few months.
