Actors that annoy you that other people like/suggest?

Now say that about Cumberbatch and wait for the cascade of torches and pitchforks. :oldrazz:

On that note, I do dig the guy and he does exceptional work, but I am a tad sick of hearing his name. And once Hollywood wants to throw him in everything it will really get bad. Dude is deserving, but meh.

Jonah Hill.

Seriously, f*** that guy. He has exactly TWO characters he can play: the obnoxious loudmouth and the timid nerd. And neither one is particularly funny or engaging. And yet this *****e got an Oscar nom.

The world sucks.

Oh, well. At least I can still laugh at the fact that he went on a crash diet and then balooned back up into the the fatass we always knew he was. I never make fat jokes, but in his case, I'll make an exception.

Channing Tatum is such a terrible actor that he couldn't give a good acting performance even if his life depended on it. :down

Director? Christopher Nolan. He is overrated (or "overhyped") around here. For as much praise as he gets, he is a very bland director imo, especially his action. While I like TDK trilogy, I haven't watched those movies in a while.

*hides in a bomb shelter*

Thirded for Ryan Gosling. I'm tired of the self satisfied smug look he always has on his face and his wannabe bohemian hipster attitude.

I'm genuinely surprised no one's mentioned Tom Hardy yet. He is like, thee go-to-guy to fill any role ever for fandom the last couple of years. I swear if there was another remake of Psycho and they needed someone to fill the role of Mrs. Bates, half the internet would suggest Tom Hardy for the role.

Not that Tom Hardy annoys me, I like him just fine. I have previously mentioned on these boards how I have a hard time being convinced he's a tough guy, despite all the tough guy roles he lands, but he's a fine actor and I do enjoy his performances.

(he just has such a friendly face!)

Yep. And you can blame THAT on Jonah Hill too, at least partially because he co-wrote the pathetically stupid and completely overrated 21 Dump Street. Somehow that movie convinced people that Tatum is a good actor, but then, those people were also convinced that the movie was good, so whatever.

I lump Hardy together with Jeremy Renner and Matt Damon, good actors, but kind of bland most of the time.

That's another actor I can't stand at all. A lot of people act like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. NOT!!!!

I 75% agree, he's just an ok presence, there's nothing about him at all that screams leading man. I only care about him when he's part of an ensemble, like Hardy and Damon.

Armie Hammer and Charlie Hunnam. I see their names all over this place now, and they're just...not good at all, imo.

I honestly thought I had missed something when it comes to Hammer he is very blah to me I wouldn't say bad but he's not that great, definitely not great enough to be the next Batman as many believe.

And while I like Gosling I'm tired of him being suggested for every role as well especially Batman.

Lastly Aaron Johnson I honestly don't find him to be as great as what many on these forums seem to believe its actually funny that in both Savages and Anna Karenina critics called him the weakest of the leads, he's okay but nothing more than that.

The only 'next' thing Armie Hammer should be is the next Judge Reinhold.

I wouldnt even call him ok. He's a terribly weak actor.

Armie Hammer, Ryan Gosling, Joss Whedon actors like Nathan Fillion.

Ryan gosling only for repetitive suggestions

because he really is a great actor with tons of range compare lars and the real girl

Again, I don't really understand this.

Does a Batman film really require a great actor?

Not only that though, that's not just a fan suggestion, he was actually cast as Batman at one point but the film fell through.

Bryan Cranston.

I am quite tired of hearing/reading him fan-cast for everything.

A popular and versatile actor who's schedule is about to open up in a big way but who has yet to really break into major film roles. It shouldn't be surprising that a lot of people want to see him in more things.

it is an excuse to fan cast mediocre actors

Ryan Reynolds.
I don't see where is the talent beside being goofy.
