YesBill Pullman - His career faded just as it was really taking off. Not sure what happened. He could do the action hero thing (Independence Day), the romantic lead (While You Were Sleeping) and be the funny man (Spaceballs). Not sure what happened. Did Lake Flaccid kill his career?

My favorite Cheadle role is from Traffic, but a close second is Buck in Boogie Nights.
I think in time he will become a household name.Hey, come to think of it... Christian Bale. Despite playing one of the most iconic superheroes of all time (in what has been one of the most critically acclaimed and financially successful films of the genre) and receiving praise for practically every role he's been in, the general public's reaction when you mention Christian Bale is "Who? Oh, right... the Batman guy."
I mean, his career is still in full swing, but it baffles me to some degree why he's not a household name the way inferior actors like Will Smith and Keanu Reeves are.

He should have been huge, but I don't know what happened.
I think in time he will become a household name.
Will Smith and Reeves are because they've been around for so so long.
These dudes go back as far as Bill & Ted and Fresh Prince.
Bale needs time to his name.
Absolutely.Fine actors.
You must like The Usual Suspects.
Exactly - Actors who shoulda gotten more recognition for the quality of their work, or otherwise they'll be overlooked. And thats a real terrible shame, because there's so many fine actors out there..Decypher said:this may be more of a case of actors who i think deserve more respect, than it is that they are over looked,
and he played George Washington too! Also Jeff Daniels. Dumb and Dumber AND The Squid and the Whale. That is versatile lol
^ I agree.Kel said:I think alot of these actors that we are saying are overlooked.....have carried their careers in a manner that does that, and its on purpose. I think you could ask them, and almost 100% would say........I wouldn't have it any other way.
Yes and no friggin Oscar Nomination. Which he deserved waaay back when he was 12 - Spielberg's Empire of the Sun (1987).Overlooked by Hollywood or by the public? Because if it's by Hollywood, there's no way in hell Bale is overlooked at all. He gets not only steady work, but quality offers.
