Always felt like Mekhi Phifer should've been in the position Mahershala Ali/Daniel Kaluuya are in now.

I still wanna know what happened to Clive Owen.

Owen just took on some bad roles for his career. He has admitted to this himself, he chose the paycheck over prestige more than he should. I mean, I liked that film he did with Monica Bellucci and him basically playing a live version of Bugs Bunny in that. But he was still on a highly acclaimed series 'The Knick' and he still shows up here and there in auteur films.

Kirsten Dunst also is on the MIA list. She did those Spidey movies, cashed out and became a mom.

Nah, Dunst had been consistent, but she just hasn't made mainstream type flicks, which is a difference. She should've gotten an oscar nom for 'Melancholia' imo, she won best actress at Cannes for that. She has more recently done tv series like 'Fargo', Black Mirror, etc. she still did all them Sofia Coppola flicks and recently had a baby.

I don’t understand either why Mekhi didn’t blow up as big as he could’ve. The last thing I remember him in was ER, and that was years ago.

His ex-wife Malinda Williams should’ve been bigger than what she is too. She would’ve been a good alternative to Taraji.

And I have to watch that Melancholia movie one day. Always heard it was good.

It isn't horrible, but it is completely disposable and forgettable too. The one that I do think is underrated is the last one, Jason Bourne. Not the peak of the series, but still quite enjoyable.

He had that Newsroom series on hbo not too long ago, was on that great Netflix western miniseries Godless and also had The Looming Tower miniseries last year.

I thought I read/heard somewhere that hair loss was a big issue for the careers of both Chris Klein and Brendan Fraser. I know what it's like as just a normal guy and it's not fun at all. I can't even imagine how it is for guys who have to be in front of a camera all the time - ESPECIALLY leading men.

Well think about it, when your reason for getting parts was namely because of your looks (like it was for Klein) - losing your hair is gonna cost you big time in Hollywood. Wouldn't shock me if it played into some of his alcoholism too.

Yeah, that's true. But did Klien really lose his hair? The last thing I saw him in was that awful Chun-Li movie and he still had hair but I don't really remember if it looked like it had thinned out at all. Didn't know he struggled with alcoholism; that's a shame.

Someone like Taylor Lautner doesn't count as "inexplicably" disappearing. He disappeared because the franchise that made him a heartthrob to twelve-year-old girls ended and he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag to get any other roles after that (or not hardly any), so he faded away. Nothing inexplicable or mysterious about it.

About Brendan Fraser, it's not much because of his hair, the guy was apparently seriously injured because of his stunts ( back, knees ), spend a lot of time in hospital, got a divorce and was sexually assaulted by someone from Hollywood and was silenced for it when he tried to speak up.
That is what I read on some articles.
