Kudos to McKay for seeing it (because I sure didn't). And of course the make-up team and Bale. We'll see how it looks like when he's at the 'older' part but he sure got the mannerisms now especially the side mouth thingie.

Yeah both Amy and Christian are playing the Cheney's from like 60's onwards to the GWB years. These funeral scenes are clearly filmed in the early years as you can see the two little kids with them who are meant to be Liz and Mary Cheney (their kids).

Because this is what people think when seeing the Cheney's.

Yes, but the main reason she probably was not cast as Rachel is she was still an indie darling and not a "name" like Katie Holmes at the time, which is why WB definitely wanted her. Which is a shame, because Adams would have been much better in that role, and she would have avoided the bullet that is the Snyder Superman movies she is now currently enduring.

Erm she wasn't cast because she wasn't going for the role man. It's a pretty simple concept that to understand. Yes she wasn't well known in 2004 I accept that part but you can't get a role you're not even auditioning for. She was screen testing with every actor auditioning for Batman. And she's not enduring Superman .She grew up a fan of Lois Lane and said she's always wanted to be Lois (auditioned in 3 separate movies for the role)and in The Muppets. Shes' done both now.

Ahem, I understand that. But Adams was looking for a star vehicle in 2004. She didn't audition, because she wasn't offered to audition. She did this Batman screen testing, as you noted, as a favor to Nolan, because she was friendly with him (and also likely wanted to be in a Nolan movie). If you think she would have turned down the role if offered the chance to audition at that point in her career, I don't know what to say. She was not offered a chance to audition, because the studio wanted a name. And all I was saying was that it is a shame they had not just cast Adams instead, because she obviously would have been better in those movies than who they ended up with.

I have no idea what type of story McKay is going for. Just look at the IMDB cast list. I mean we have everyone from Lynne Cheney's mama to Osama bin Laden's bodyguard.

Powell is the four-star general who as Bush Administration Secretary of State pressed the case for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, based on intelligence that Saddam Hussein was manufacturing weapons of mass destruction.
