Advent Children, English version

Everyone thinks that is Bahmaunt in the movie, it's not,If any of you people remember FF7 had The Ultimate Weapon flying around wrecking havok on the city, that'd be him.

No, I never complained about "realism". I complained about the action being "pretentiously overblown". I don't like characters spending 20 minutes fighting in the air and landing spot on their bikes that somehow "follow" them on the ground.

Good thing characters are never fighting for 20 minutes in the air then.

It's no less over-blown how just a few people can beat entire armies in the Lord of the Rings movies.

Or Cloud cutting through Bahamut's flare like a comet just because he was boosted by his pals. I'd have loved to see them pull off some great magic or summons with their materia like they did in the game. The action in the game was a little more sensible and down-to-earth than this pseudo Matrix crap.

So what, it looked great? And the one that got him through Bahamut's fireball was Aerith, and more himself.

In the world of final fantasy, I see no problem with the fighting being on the fantastic side.

It WAS Bahamut, as Kadaj summoned him using (white?!? ) materia taken from Cloud's stash...

His entrance and flare attack was identical to his use in the game. Also, the Weapons were products of the planet...why would the planet create a weapon for a Jenova thingy to use?

As for the critisicm, apart for the 'metrosexual' antagonists, I don't get it. Why watch anime if you don't like the way Japanese stories are told? The clothes are basically the same as the game apart from Tifa (improved), Yuffie (improved) and Barret (arrgg-string vest! vs. Uber cool arm).

Sorry but you're wrong. Kadaj SUMMONED the dragon, so it's got to be Bahamut and not one of the Weapons. Plus, I'm fairly certain various official Squaresoft materials have specificly refered to it as Bahamut

Wasn't the White Weapon beaten in the game or is my memory failing me?

there was no white weapon, they were named after gems.

The Japanese version contained Sapphire, Diamond, and Ultima Weapon, all of which are destroyed in the events of the game. The American version added the optional bosses Ruby and Emerald Weapon.

Oh ya, now I remember. I never beat those stinking Ruby and Emerald Weapons

No, that's falling with style.

Bahamut Sin to be exact.

His entrance and flare attack was identical to his use in the game. Also, the Weapons were products of the planet...why would the planet create a weapon for a Jenova thingy to use?

Well, Kadaj did summon it. The materia could've been tainted from his evil remnant body.

Yeah I liked all the updated costumes.

Oh and the name of the dragon is Bahamut Sin. He got his own action figure and that's what it says on the box. So that ends that.

It was definately Bahamut, you could tell that from as soon as it came on screen. That fight has to be one of the best action scene's ever. But the other action scene's dont quite hold up to it IMO.

nope... it's Bahumut. if you watch the making of documentary the guy that designed him says so.

i thought it looked like weapon, too, but the weapons were never summon-able.

I saw the figure in the comic shop the other day and it is indeed Bahamut Sin.

I don't remember that in the game.... is it an extra marketing toy/ploy?

Is the Sin related to the evil aeons at the end of FFX?

He is known for his devastating battle technique called Mega Flare, where he exhales a powerful thermonuclear blast at all his opponents. In Final Fantasy VII, Bahamut is also accompanied by three more powerful versions: Neo Bahamut (Giga Flare), Bahamut ZERO (Tera Flare) and, in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Bahamut SIN. The attacks are named for the SI prefixes for ten to the powers six, nine, and twelve; the third is commonly misread as "Terra Flare" or "Tetra Flare". Also worth noting are that the suffixes and prefix for the variations of Bahamut in Final Fantasy VII and Advent Children are taken from the names of old Japanese fighter planes: KAI Bahamut ("Neo Bahamut"), Bahamut REISHIKI ("Bahamut Zero"), and Bahamut SHIN ("Bahamut TREMOR").

I watched Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within the other night.

I can't believe it BOMBED!!! It didn't deserve to, sure, it's not THE best film, but it absolutely DIDN'T deserve to flop. Shame on you moviegoers.

Anyways, I don't know if in CG they assign one animator to do a character like in 2D, but whoever animated Dr. Sid did a friggin awesome job. He's the most lifelike of them all...

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - 4/5

I can't wait to see FF Advent Children, and yes, I realize already it won't be like FF Spirits due to content, but I reckon I'm gonna love it anyway!

^^^ Through the whole thing I thought you were talking about AC
