After 17 years I've finally...............

Quick backstory.... I bought this freaking game back in 1989... and not out of lack of playing... and I don't suck at video games.. moreso there was a ****ing glitch that prevented me from reaching that bottom door to get to the game ending boss...

Well anyway... after 17 years of curiosity and frustration at never accomplishing this meaningless goal.. I have come to peace with this long long journey.

Was it worth the wait? hell ****ing no
Was it everything I hoped it would be? hell ****ing no
Was it anticlimatic? hell ****ing yes
Do I curse out the makers of this game for selling me a glitched version? hell ****ing yes
Do I want to go into my closet pull out the cartridge and break it? maybe

Well, I used a spoon to pry open that instert on the front of the N64 that was needed to play Donkey Kong.


That yellow cartridge kicked all forms of ass.

call it bias but I always prefered the Master System Cartridges to the Nintendo.... all that plastic wasn't even necessary.... plus taking them to a friends house was a pain in the ass... you could only put maybe 2 in a pocket.

that controller angers me more and more.... when I saw the Marvel Ultimates commercial... I threw up on my TV... when I saw the new Medal Of Honor game.... I threw up on my TV.

I want a controller not nunchukus.

PS3 - can play all PS & PS2 games...

I don't know, man, I mean, I agree about the controller, thats bringing me down. It would be cool to have at times, but for the most part I don't plan on making gaming and being active one in the same. If you could get a regular controller for the thing, then I'd consider it. Right now I've got a PS2, so I'd like to remain faithful to Sony, but I just can't get over the price. Oh, and does anyone know if that rumor about only being able to play your games on your PS3 is true?

highly doubtfull as you'd have to code the game for each console and then there's the problem of making sure the game gets to the right owner...

I had the same thing happen to me with Ninja turtles 1. I could never get past the stage where you drive turtle van. Underwater swimming killed me often as well. Never saw the end tho.

I miss the old days of gaming. At 28 years old, I sound like an old fart, but I still like to play the games where you just had the one pad to control, and one or two buttons at the most to perform your actions. Now you got one button to run, one to jump, one to look around corners, one for your third melee weapon, another to scratch your ass, etc. That's why I'm all up on this Wii thing. Games nowadays are too ****ing complicated.
