I just checked this out on ONDEMAND yestereday, and i must say i enjoyed it. To me it was much more realistic, and better than Open Water 1;even if there was no sharks this time...it was implied.

Did anyone else NOT understand the ending...? I'm ****ing confused as hell.

Yeah, this was pretty good. I heard it wasn't even Open Water 2, they just slapped the name on it later so it would sell better? Not sure how much truth is in that.

The ending was odd. I think it was 2 different endings slapped together for no damn reason.

i kinda liked Open Water. haven't seen part 2 though since sequels to mediocre flicks tend to be on par or crappier than the original.

It's a pretty good flick. No sharks though. Not even a cameo.

I hated the first film. I saw it in theaters and I must say the highlight of the film was the breats at the beginning.

Yeah that chick being topless in # 1 was definately a highlight of the first one, but i'm telling you guys no lie; Open Water 2 was much better imo.

I love the first film, one of the best suspense/atmosphere films ever. I like the second alot more than I expected to, but not as much as the first.

It was the first time i've seen the guy that played Multiple Man in X3, in another movie.

I didn't even realize that was him until you just pointed it out.

open water was boring i cant believe this got a sequel

Open Water was one of the most boring movies ever. The big hairy bush at the beginning started out the awfulness.

What there is 2? i liked the first one good suspense and realistic, hell I m gonna check part 2!

I recall seeing more then just breasts, she was fully naked :o

She also was a tad bit on the hefty side...all in all...not someone I wanted to see totally nude.

subtle to the point of uninteresting .Open Water 2 sux

The very surroundings made a constant threat, even when seemingly nothing was happening. They could've been attacked at any given moment, their bodies were succumbing to the conditions of the water more and more as time progressed, they were at the mercy of merciless predators throughout the film...

if that's your idea of "uninteresting" than you simply don't have the patience for subtle horror.

"Open Water 2 sux."

Great review.;)

I was arguing about the unnecessary and extremely over gratuitous shot of a fully naked woman with sagging breats, a pudgy belly, and an untamed downstairs. It was not needed and had no weight on the story what so ever. My guess was that it was used to keep people interested for the time being. That said, the movie still sucked and to make a sequel to that is beyond my comprehension. I just couldn't get into people floating in the water for over an hour doing the same thing...crying and hugging. The sharks didn't get there soon enough IMO:o

They're a couple alone in a hotel on vacation in a hot motel room with no air conditioning, it's not much of a stretch that they'd be naked.
Like I said, it's atmospheric horror, even when they're "doing nothing," the threat is always present throughout the film; they didn't do the same thing the whole time, they were calm at first and fairly light-hearted, they ended up arguing rather heatedly, drifting apart trying to find one another, later ending up in a break down with a role reversal where the woman has to take care of the man as they naturally cried and hugged toward the end of their lives at the peak of their desperation.
The sharks are used minimally because it's not a movie about sharks eating people, it's about the constant threat of the very environment that the characters are trapped, the second film was effective (though not as much) without the sharks and just the human drama.
Again, if you lack the patience for subtle, atmopheric horror; then yeah, these movies really suck.
