Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - 4x22 - "World's End" - Discussion Thread

It was. Gregg said on Twitter last night that it was a quickie episode kind of tossed together because they had no idea if this was their last run or what.

Well one thing I hope doesn't drag on, is Fitz getting over obsessed with "I killed people in the Framework!" I REALLY hope that goes away. ENOUGH of the whining already

This. Iain is a great actor and I think he pulls off these scenes well, but I'm tired of having "oh no is this going to ruin their relationship?!?!"

Yeah, I would agree that there was a drop off in quality from what had been a series best string of episodes. You had an awful lot of stuff happening - Robbie is back! The Framework is collapsing! Aida wants to bring the Framework reality to our world! LMDs for sale, everybody gets an LMD! SHIELD is outlawed (again)! May and Coulson relationship reboot! - that feels like it should have been another 2 hour finale.

Otherwise, the season was a huge success and I am glad we get 22 more.

I love the Framework solution - they did not go the "rebuild" way with Hope or anybody else and they played this part great. Actually this part was played perfectly - comparing to the rest of the story.

I was disappointed that...now that SHIELD are outlaws again, they didn't bother to reunite with Mockingbird and Hunter.

In fact...I believe they mentioned her, but I'd like to know where Piper is (thats her name, right?)

Anyone else wanna talk about how Mack low key suggested making a baby with Yo-Yo? :funny:

Heretic, Mockingbird's name is Bobbi.

Heretic, Mockingbird's name is Bobbi.

I know that, but thanks.

EDIT: When I mentioned Piper, I was talking about the SHIELD agent who has been assisting the team this season. I think they mentioned in the beginning that she went somewhere, but I forgot what they said she was up to. I may be getting the wrong name...but Mockingbird/Bobbi is a different character than the one I was taking about.

I think so, unless Inhumans starts sooner in fall, maybe late December?

InHumans will be in IMAX Sept 1 for two weeks, so the show could start airing as early as Sept 15 which would take the 8 episode run to about Nov 3. If AoS starts the following week, they could get in a six episode pod in before the holidays.

Makes me wonder the same thing. It will be an interesting season and How Inhumans will connect to AoS will be another point of interest

would like some interaction but weldon i think said that show is doing its own thing. So be it. Taught some of the dc crossovers were poor some not, hit and miss. Marvel are more subtle with it and on the whole it seems to work. so will trust their judgement on it.

But it would not be credible if in that new inhuman show someone said 'whats an inhuman' So its not unreasonable to expect the politics of what has happened in shield to have echos in this new inhuman show.

Ahh, I misunderstood. I thought you were asking what Bobbi's name was. :)

Exactly, Iain is a great actor, no denying it, but, the whining about this or that every season is getting tired. Granted this season last 3rd of the season he was in the Framework he wasn't whining, it's outside it I hope he doesn't go south again and wimp out

I still have to wait. I'm not driving 3 hours to get to an Imax

Does anyone know if the parts of Inhumans shown in the IMAX theaters will also be shown on ABC? Or is it if you miss what is shown in IMAX, you have to wait until it's released on disc, to Hulu or Netflix or something like that?

EDIT: Only thing I can find that somewhat answers this is: "Since then the release date has changed and most importantly, Marvel's The Inhumans has become a TV show, which will premiere its first two episodes on IMAX from September 1, 2017, before the entire series of eight episodes appears on ABC from September 26."

I am assuming that means that the 2 episodes in IMAX will be shown as the 1st 2 of 8 on ABC. Am I correct?

The Deadline article to which Newsrama links says 22.

Anyone get Rogue One vibes at the end with Redcliffe?

That was my original point. Simmons...the real Simmons...shot Aida with a machine gun...then Aida and Coulson Rider fell REALLY far...and within seconds, there was Simmons and Fitz. It was really bad flow. In fact, much of the episode felt rushed.
I see. I thought you were talking about Coulson when he was talking to Ophelia before Jemma shot her, because Coulson already had the ghost.

They are showing the first two on ABC. Supposedly, they might actually be adding scenes to it. But we'll know when we see the runtime in theaters. If we get exactly two hours, I suspect they'll cut some of the material for commercials. If we get less than two hours, you'll probably have at least as much content.

That's good to know that they will be showing the first 2 on ABC as well, with or without added scenes, because I am not sure if there is an IMAX theater in my area.

Thanks for the response

Why would anyone pay IMAX prices to watch something that will be free on tv in less than a month? Especially if we're not exactly talking about a true big budget movie event like other Marvel movies.

Because it's a Marvel event and you know crowds are gonna be there to watch the first live action Inhumans.

There are certain Marvel series that could be in IMAX, but Inhumans isn't one of them.

I will pay to watch it in IMAX.

I still really want to know if there is a shot at a Ghost Rider show soon! Easily he was best part of season.

I don't know why you'd say that. If the early budget numbers we got are accurate, it'll be one of the most expensive TV shows ever made.

Prob because it is a Scott Buck show and people make jokes about him, though I don't think they are really that funny because Iron Fist is actually a decent show.
