I find it curious that there are complaints about "lack of strong villains" in the MCU and at the same time one of the major and most well developed villainous entities is now being criticized for what, being too present?

I thnk it is leveled and individuals and not groups.

I don't have a problem with HYDRA in general
They just haven't done anything that felt legitimately threatening since TWS/AoS season 1 (Whitehall's experiments in s2 were ok I guess)
And Malick and Ward make poor replacements for Skull, Zola, Pierce, and even Strucker, Whitehall, Garrett...etc

there's nothing wrong with taking a small break from the bad guys that have been omnipresent in the show
then you can bring em back in a big and unexpected way

I think the big issue is they've basically killed off nearly all notable HYDRA leaders from the comics...

Skull, Strucker, Whitehall, Zola, Pierce, Garrett... i mean.. the only real notable Hydra agents left to be added in the MCU are Madame Hydra, Sin and Contessa

and out of them, only Contessa has any chance of showing up on AoS
Sin would definitely be saved for a movie, I would think, and who knows if they'll ever use Viper after 'The Wolverine' already ruined her
I guess AoS could try to use Viper, but again, let Hydra go back to the shadows for a season, then come back with her as the leader

Marvel likely won't use the name VIPER but will just call her Madame Hydra/Ophelia Sarkissian

Kevin Feige said we have not seen the last of A.I.M in IM3 so I think they will be back with a new leader eventually.

I haven't heard that before. Interesting. I think AoS is a great place for them. I can't think of a movie. Maybe Ant-Man?

If AIM was to return and on Agents of SHIELD, they will somehow find a way to connect it to HYDRA.

Maybe not. Have you seen the new NEW Avengers comic (not All New Avengers like New Mutants)? Roberto da Costa (Sunspot) is HEAD of AIM now and HE supplies New Avengers with equipment

Technically, Hydra and AIM were originally connected in the comics.

My personal preference was that Senator Sterns helped secure Congressional funding for Aldrich Killian's government think tank, AIM. It's just as easy to say Malick did that, though.

Aim, modok, radioactive man, whirlwind, atlas, and egghead are about the only things i can see antman and the wasp film dealing with

Thiugh, plot twist.. bring in the leader and banner!

A.I.M is going to come in with Most Wanted, you'll see.
Immediate threats will be Crossfire and Phantom Rider and eventually we'll get the reveal that Crossfire's backer was Rappaccini, and she will be revealed to now be leading A.I.M.

Never been a comic book guy and as a result, I think the comic book movie wars is pointless and stupid and I don't get in an angry rage when the wrong actor is cast for a certain role.

For characters and organizations, I use google. That is all of the knowledge I need for these comic-book characters.

2-Hour Season Finale For Agents of SHIELD On Tuesday, May 17

2-Hour Season Finale For Agents of SHIELD On Tuesday, May 17

thats the thing i hate when shows take breaks
they come back and the seasons almost over.....
I think this season finale will be a game changer going into the next season
Which could be the final season
unless they go to netflix...but then again...ABC/Disney etc etc...theyll find a way to keep em on

Questionable ratings aside, the show is one of ABC's "crown jewels", and an easy marketing tool for the films (weird divide between TV/movie divisions aside). It's here to stay for however long it does.

Freeform is venturing into the Marvel universe.
The younger-skewing Disney-owned network has greenlit “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” with a straight-to-series order, Variety has exclusively learned.
Described as a superhero love story, “Cloak and Dagger” is based on the titular comic book duo (also known as Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson) who have appeared in Marvel Comics classics, including “Spiderman” and “X-Men” stories.

I'm guessing there was no Agents of SHIELD this week?

John Hannah? Okay... That's a name I've not heard in a while

Also worth noting is James (a character introduced in this week's episode) seems like he'll be a recurring character moving forward.
