They could have brought it back last week instead they showed the Bachelor crap.

Well maybe if it is confirmed she is inhuman that might be a mission if she doesn't get better?

I wonder if the clairvoyant will want to get ahold of Skye now to test her?

Anyone else not trust agent tripplet I mean really hitting Simmons who is trying to save a friend and when they used the drug he was asking what did you use on her. I don't trust him.

I agree, something is up with Tripplett. His convo with Simmons was odd.

Well to be fair NCIS hit a season and I believe series low in 18-49 last night too. Plus the Voice is a big hit among 18-49. It was expected that AoS would take a hit going against that and NCIS.

Just keep an eye out for the DVR ratings in 3 weeks. I'm sure the Live+7 Day will be up over 3.0 and around 9 million viewers.

I'm pretty sure AoS is set after ASM2.

Coulson was injected with Electro's green body fluid as per T.A.H.I.T.I.

I'm pretty sure ASM isn't in the MCU.

That extended hiatus was suicidal. Just dumb.

But necessary due to the Olympics. If AOS had been running fresh episodes against the Olympics during February, those numbers would have been even lower than that.

Right now, AOS is trying to settle into that "cult show" notch. A small but devoted hardcore audience. The thing is, they now need to pander exclusively to that hardcore audience (i.e., us), and rely on WOM to start generating new interest. For instance, some blogs the last couple of days have helped towards that end, with titles like "'Agents of SHIELD' Can Finally Become The Show We Wanted From the Start." (Or something like that.)

Just kidding. It was Dr. Manhattan. :o :oldrazz:

I don't understand the Coulson-is-Mar-Vell theory at all (and I've been reading through much of the original Captain Marvel issues recently, so I'm pretty familiar with the character). Could someone explain it to me in a coherent fashion? I tried reading the Wardell tweets, but they're all over the place. Coulson is a shapeshifter, which somehow ties into Dr. Strange??? LOL WUT?

But especially before last night's episode (with its probable Kree corpse) what indication was their for people to even make this connection? (Is it an Ultimate thing, maybe? I don't know anything about that side of things.)

Just another crazy fan theory which I hope never comes to fruition, although I'm sure some hypesters would relish the ensuing breakdown.

They could spend millions of dollars trying to and it wouldn't change a thing. Some people just don't know the movie rights situation and don't care to learn about it.

I guess that ABC special a couple of weeks from now is a step in that direction.
But yes there will still some people who'll even ask why certain DC characters haven't shown up in Marvel movies, so it isn't even fair to expect the uninvested to understand why Marvel characters aren't allowed to be in Marvel movies.

The Mar-Vell theory has been around for a long time (and no, that's not one of my theories, for the record), and plenty of people offered up that conjecture before Wardell ever got hold of it. So it's been a pretty popular fan theory for many moons now.

That being said, I'm still not ready to buy into it, or any Skye-as-Carol spinoffs. I think the bottom line on Captain Marvel (both Mar-Vell *and* Carol) is that the character(s) are too essential and too big to be "slumming" on TV. For one thing, it would mean a huge rewrite for both characters, as the Coulson-Skye story doesn't even faintly resemble the Mar-Vell/Carol Danvers story, beyond the increasingly obvious "omg aliens" connection. For another, I just think that Carol, especially, is pretty much a given for at least the third Avengers installment, and I don't think they'll use television as the route to get her there. I loves me some Chloe Bennet, but I can't for the life of me see her trying to play Ms. Marvel alongside RDJ, the Chrises, Ruffahulk, Widow and whoever else is still kicking it on the big screen in 2018 (or whenever).

Very well put.
Same thing goes for Agent Ward being Wonder Man on the basis he has a presumably evil older brother. Each subsequent theory is more nauseating then the last, especially when you consider the comics have a tendency to follow MCU canon in the aftermath.

That said they do make you wonder when they say stuff like "people who liked Deathlok will love what we have in store" making me think they might butcher more d-list favourites from my childhood. :csad:

ASM is not part ofthe MCU, and for that, I am grateful.

Even with ASM I think they would take chances like Guardians, but anyways we will never know. What Sony is doing now is at least fun. Only concern for me is they own Kingpin and a Daredevil show without him wont be as good as it could be. [BLACKOUT]Sony loaned the character to Fox back for 2003's DD, now that they want a Spidey Cinematic Universe they might not be so quick to share.[/BLACKOUT]

Are TV rights and movie rights the same? I've heard differing opinions on it.

Ya when people say movie rights, they really mean live-action rights.

Yeah,I think something's up with him,too.

People disagree with me and just say that when Avi Arad specifically said it twice in 10 years that Sony owned Kingpin that it was just a mistake he made and no one corrected him and then use the cartoon rights being contradictory to that as the tent-pole of their rebuttal.

No use splitting hairs anyways, we'll definitely find out eventually it's just clear to me that we don't have Kingpin and Marvel Studios will have to make a deal with Sony, which is now considerably more difficult being as they are set on a Spidey Cinematic Universe.

Well, I do enjoy coming up with crazy fan theories, and I enjoy seeing how the MCU can re-imagine these characters, rather than being tied to the comic version. But I like to understand why the theories might be true, even if I disagree with them. The Jessica Drew and Carmilla Black theories I understand. The Coulson as Vision or as SSS theories even made some amount of sense. But until Coulson had a brief flashback to space in the mid-season finale, I saw nothing in the MCU films or early episodes that remotely hinted he might be an alien spy/exile in disguise.

Now I guess I could understand that maybe, as part of his resurrection, they somehow implanted some of the Kree's brain patterns into Coulson's subconscious, but that wouldn't make him Mar Vell. If anything, it would make him more of a Rick Jones analogue (or a gender-bent Carol???).

Are we back to the "speculation is wrong!" tangent already? It must be Wednesday. :o

Don't get me wrong, some of it can to grow to such far-fetched proportions that it isn't even within the realm of believability, and others can fall in love with their own fanfic so strongly that they begin to put it forward as fact, but most of the time it's just people batting ideas around. No need to start crushing discussion underneath the ironshod jackboots of oppression just yet!

Roger Wardell is an idiot. Nobody believes him.

Some people do, heck there's a website that uses his tweets as fact lol. But he and LokiD/TRM are all just people who puff smoke. Anything they say is either obvious or so complex it could never go to screen. I'll continue waiting and seeing how things turn out, rather than trying to guess everything and grasp at straws haha.

Who is this Roger Wardell guy and why would anyone put any merit into what he says? Sounds like a bunch of fan fic anytime I see "news" with his name attached to it

I think speculation is fine as long as you dont treat it as fact. Some posters here are a little bit annoying with the assumptions as facts they try to convince others into believing or the overly repetitive theory posters. They too are annoying.

I agree. I think if they keep putting out episodes like the last 3 or 4 then it will probably end up where it had been trending at around 2.2. My hope is they continue delivering on the threads they have been unraveling. More Deathlok, tie ins with TWS, and I think a payoff episode focusing on Coulson and Fury would be really great.

Well to be FAIR as Long as it's HIS (Roger Wardell) opinion it IS just his opinion. I mean we do alot of GUESSING around here lol

Well put, sir. Completely agree.
