AIM- Connection Timed Out

[Hurm...]

I was talking to a friend of mine and out of nowhere I noticed that I'm no longer signed in. I try to log on, but this message pops up saying Connection-Timed Out. Not even AIM Express is working for me. My connection is working just fine because I'm typing this message without any loading issues. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

BTW I'm using Aim 6.

It is happening to everyone I know right now, Hurm, myself included. The systems gone down. The internet is collapsing! Dammit they told me I had until 2012!

I had the same problem as well earlier. Apparently, too many people signed online and all that at the same time according to TMZ.

In the moments following Michael Jackson's death -- so many people rushed to the Internet, that it practically stopped the entire WWW in its tracks.

Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, AIM -- just a few of the scores of major web sites bombed by a tidal wave of traffic. Most of the sites still worked, but the epically high traffic numbers caused them all to move at a snail's pace.
