Alcohol thread

I am rediscovering beer in a big way. There is a microbrewery near me that sells some fabulous bottlings from its cellar door.

When I'm out of the State, I usually try locally brewed beers.

Had some nice ones in Florida.

Otherwise it's usually Guinness.

Cigar City's in Florida. They make one of the most highly sought after stouts "Hunahpu". They also make a great IPA called "Jai Alai".

Innis & Gunn Oak Aged Beer. Deeeeeelicious.

I like the smaller breweries. British Columbia has a few and there's nothing like a tasty, refreshing beer on top of a mountain.

The ones I tried were from near Fort Meyers.

Other go to drinks. Dark and Stormy whenever I'm in the Florida or Caribbean. 7 and 7 when I'm not in the mood for something sweeter. Otherwise, I just drink Jameson on the rocks.

Shots. Usually Fireball.

Dark&Stormy's are really good, though I prefer the Russian counterpart, the Moscow Mule.

I used to not drink alcohol for religious reasons...then I realized that Christianity doesn't teach that alcohol is wrong. :P

Also...I LOVE...LOVE...Belgian Beers. Any. Just give me a Belgian and I will be happy.

I need to educate myself more on Belgian/Dutch/German beers. I suspect I have had too many indifferent weissbiers and lagers that all taste of very little. That said, I can drink Paulaner by the bathtub.

If any of y'all have access to beers from a Danish brewery called Evil Twin, do not hesitate to try/drink whatever you can get your hands on. I almost went to Denmark for work, and I was most excited about goin' nuts at this brewery.

From what I know of Belgian beer they tend to be sweeter. At least all the ones i've had so far. I'm partial to sweet beers.

I've been drinking a lot of white wine. I still have the occasional beer.

I'm having a warm Hallowine right now, made with apple wine and cinnamon. Some of my favorite things but its kind of meh. The 13% alcohol content is nice though.

If they don't like it, they'll probably just close it and tell you it's a no-no. I think a ban would be unnecessary.

ban or an infraction i meant to say, or any other sort of reprimanding. but that would suck. i'd rather they close it & gimme a warning or something like you suggested.

Whatever you do, it's off topic here.

I just bought my first growler, a 64oz DC United growler for $6. Apparently Whole Foods will fill it for $5 during their happy hour. :halo:

I had some wine while I was on vacation a few months ago. I actually prefer beer, but sitting on the deck listening to the ocean with a glass was very relaxing.
