What do you think is the best Soda/Fizzy pop/soft drink out there

Apparently after you get enough far South, everything is just "Coke". Like, if you want a Sprite, you say "Coke" and they just sort of KNOW you wanted a Sprite.

Like those cartoon characters whose dialogue consists entirely of their name or species.

That happened to me once when I went to Georgia. I said that I wanted a Coke and was asked which kind.

Anyway, for a time, it was Sprite Remix. But, that's gone, so just regular Sprite.

I don't always drink soda, but when I do, it's Jarritos. :word:

Not really, as that's impossible. You say Sprite and you'll get a Sprite. Maybe a 7up or Sierra Mist. It's more like, "Yeah, I'm thirsty, let's go get some cokes", and then you buy a Sprite, Dr Pepper, Pepsi or whatever you wanted.

:cmad: COKE COKE COKE.

I love saying coke...when a waitress asks me what I want and they only have Pepsi, I say coke, she asks if Pepsi is ok and I say yea.

Do you really not have root beer in the UK, OP?

Ooh ooh, I've seen them at GoMart!!! They are delightful! :D

Cool! I guess I'll have to make a run to the Go Mart that's kind of but not really close to me and check out their Nehi situation.

Sounds like some of the ones everyone here likes are all in those Coke Freestyle machines, although I think some of the flavors were only okay to me and nothing special.

A couple of sodas they stopped making that I miss are Pepsi Blue and Jolt.

You can buy Pepsi Blue though...found a site via google, CRAZY $$$, and a drink at your own risk...

It even had Mr. Pibb. Mr. Pibb is barely alive...I only see it at the nearest gas station as a fountain drink.

Just remembered some others... Dr Brown's (no relation to Back to the Future) Black Cherry soda and Cel-Ray soda (yes, a soda based on celery). Very Jewish kinda deli sodas.
And Stewart's Orange Creamsicle soda. It tastes like what it describes. Amazing.

I'm like Walter White, I wouldn't want to live in a world without classic Coca-Cola

Dr Pepper is good.
I like Mountain Dew.
But Diet coke is my lady.

Mello Yello tops my list. I only drink it week of Christmas though. I try to stay away from caffeine so I drink Sprite Zero during year. Though if I go to theater must have large regular Coke.

Surge and Jolt Cola (and even though it's not a soda, Hi-C Ecto Cooler) all need to come back.

Dr. Pepper and Sussex Ginger ale are my favorites.

Speaking of sodas they don't make anymore...

Josta was awesome. You know when a drink has a panther on it, it's going to be good.

I loved Pepsi Blue when I was a teenager, but I get the feeling it would be far too sweet and syrupy for my frail adult taste buds.

Also, remember Lemon Coke and Lemon Pepsi? That stuff was nasty. Tasted like cleaning products.

My two favorites are Mello Yello and Game Fuel.

Game Fuel Red is the best. The green Call of Duty flavor was great as well. The Alliance Blue was okay, but wasn't enough for me to ditch Mello Yello.

I really wish they would bring back Game Fuel permanently. Every time it hits shelves, that **** sells out constantly. I don't know why they're keeping it as a once-every-two-years promotion.

I also miss Vault. A lot.

Yep. I lived in Alabama for a time, and I rarely heard anything but "Coke". Likewise, I've lived in a couple of northeastern states, and I constantly heard "pop".

I haven't had regular soda in years. If I had to pick the absolute best tho it's between diet mountain dew and cherry coke zero.

People claim this is true, but I've never heard it. Been a Georgia man all my life, and have never known anyone that refers to every soda as a "Coke".
