Alien or Aliens?

Which do you prefer?

I love em both but I must admit when I'm in a xenomorph mood I tend to reach for alien more than aliens

Alien. While I like the characters of Aliens, the way they handle the xenomorph species is a big step down from the original film.

Alien for sure. The atmosphere in that one is something I've been waiting for the series to re-capture, and it never did. That was the biggest disappointment about Prometheus for me, actually.

I get more enjoyment out of Aliens. I wish one of the sequels was that awesome. At least Aliens vs Predator should have been able to match that. Both films are great though. It's like comparing The Godfather to Godfather : part two.

I have to give it to Alien for the reasons that others have stated. I loved the atmosphere and creepiness of Alien. And how the one single alien is pretty much unstoppable.
I felt that the sequel recycled a lot from the first film when it came to the ending. With the countdown to an explosion. And then how you think the heroes are safe on the escape ship, only to learn that the alien is actually still there. And then it gets blasted into space, just like in the first film.
