It takes place during present day right? The Alien films take place YEARS from now. If we had knowledge of the Aliens today, we would have been prepared for them.

I predict this film will kick ass.

I'm gonna have to save that your prediction is going to be right on when Alien vs Predator: Survival of the Fittest hit theaters either in December or maybe even November hopefully! The new pictures are great...finally they might do this franchise justice after all...The first movie was good...but not AVP material, this movie might make people put their hands over their eyez b/c of how freaky it is!!! That would be the day!!!

The Predator looks closer to the original, with thankfully less body armor and a more organic look to the skin. The outfit pieces look more aged and realistic. You have to remember, Kevin Peter Hall hovered around seven feet tall, and was a trained dancer, so he had a remarkably slender build. Even in Predator 2, he played all the other Predators at the end.

I'm on the fence with the new Alien head, though. I'm not sure if I like it or not.

I hope they have fixed the Predator face. It looked like sheit in the first one.

Yeah, the Pred face looks much improved. It looks a lot more like the original. I'm not sure about the Alien, but they change so much from movie to movie, its not a big deal if this one looks different.

i for one, am getting excited about this, i like the first one, its good but not great, its only redemming feature really is the alien and predator fights, espically the celtic predator and the "grid" alien, that was awesome, but the rest of the film falls kind of flat, hopefully from what i'm hearing about this one, it will be much improved over the first, but even an improvement over the first one will probably make this a really good movie, hopefully we get more predator and alien fights, we only really got 2 fights, 3 if you want to count the one where the girl kills the alien with the preds weapon, and hopefully none of that this time, no pred and human tag teams lol

well you have to make sure you set your characters up well and the audience makes an emotional connection so when the aliens and predators start beating it out p) you get scared.

I suppose the first film tried to do that. It certainly set the characters up...but didn't make me emotionally involved.

I want there to be a Preator & Alien VS Predalien however, if this is a direct sequel, witht he aliena and predator sort of teaming up to kill the predalien

i don't want to see the predalien, i'd rather just have this be the two classic film characters that i know and love duke it out, but if they want to continue with the predalien, then i guess thats cool, it better look top notch then cuz i won't accept any new alien design that is inferior to the original. cameron added the queen alien but that was acceptable and done with above average work and was far more impressive than the original alien design. a predalien i'm afraid will hardly be on par with the best designs in the alien world cuz i think a mix match of an alien and predator will just look stupid.

I imagine the Predalien won't look much different from the rest. He should be just bigger, possess more brute strength, and have a Predator mouth.
