...That's exactly what I said you suggested in the post you quoted.![]()
Ah, it's good to be back....
So, what's new with you guys? Has anyone picked up the DVD yet?
Thanks & I really hope I, myself enjoy them as I love watching special features on movies to see how they were made and what work went into making them as I aspire to be a movie writer one day myself.
Btw, aren't there two different versions of the DVD?
Well, I'll be trying to get the DVD with the best special features.
Any word on AVP3 yet?
whats wrong with a predator bias?
That's because the Aliens suck and the Predators kick ass! What the Predator needs is a more worthy opponent, like a Terminator or Rambo. Now THAT'S a movie! The film isn't balanced. The Predator just keeps owning Aliens left and right like in AvP:R.
Yea it would be cool to see one where the aliens win.The film isn't balanced. The Predator just keeps owning Aliens left and right like in AvP:R.
no, what im saying is (essentially) NO HUMANS... period... just two hours of predators and aliens tearing the crap into each other and colonial soldiers (with very little dialog, no names, no scenes between each soldier)... remember how great the first 5mins or so with the surreal fx were in AVPR? and all the human-less scenes in AVP1 were fantastic... im just saying, no humans could equal a great AVP film
Would it be too far fetched for a facehugger to attach itself to an Alien? Maybe then we'd get it's true form. As for the Predalien, I agree although I did like the design and I felt she was cool but if we do get another Predalien, it needs to have a more updated design.
The thing that most people who present that theory forget is how the chestburster incubates. We see in Alien 3 that the chestburster grows with veins and tissue connected from the host to itself; essentially, it's the chestburster forcing the host body to "provide" for it.
There's three issues with the "facehugger implanting an Alien" possibility. The first has to do with what I just mentioned. Fully grown Aliens don't seem to require food; when there isn't something to kill, they simply go dormant. So an adult Alien lack nutrients in its acid blood or tissue to allow a chestburster to grow. Another more obvious factor is the concept behind the Alien- it's always out to screw other living things, but there's no in-fighting unless they really need to kill one of their own to escape like in Alien: Resurrection. Plus, the final assumption: That the Alien is on its home environment, where a pure version might be useful (if even that, since it may be that they evolved acid blood due to being the prey of a greater creature).
With all those things in mind, I don't think we'd see a natural occurence of a "pure" Alien. Still, who knows what science could do in future films.
